Then Why Don't You NAME It Condi?

More doubletalk and bobbing and weaving from Condi Rice. It is sad that we must accept she does not know what to NAME it. Condi's got to go!

From the New York Jewish Times today.

"Rice Urges World to Stop Making Excuses for Terrorists"

By Jim Garamone

The U.S. secretary of state wants people to stop making excuses for terrorists.

In an interview aired on PBS's "Jim Lehrer NewsHour," Condoleezza Rice fairly bristled at the suggestion that the United States was creating terrorists with its policies. "When are we going to stop making excuses for the terrorists and saying that somebody is making them do it?" Rice said.

Rice said terrorists are simply evil people who want to kill. They are attempting to implicate the 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide in their schemes. "They want to kill in the name of a perverted ideology that really is not Islam, but they somehow want to claim that mantle to say that this is about some kind of grievance," she said. "This isn't about some kind of grievance. This is an effort to destroy, rather than to build."

Rice pointed out that terrorists struck the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, with no provocation. "We weren't in Iraq. We weren't even in Afghanistan on Sept. 11," she said. (and what does this mean as you look back in history? Think Condi.)

American servicemembers have died protecting the rights of Muslims in Kuwait, Bosnia and Kosovo. Terrorists have embraced the ideology of violent extremism by their own choice. "No one is making them do it," Rice said. "They're doing it because they want to create chaos and to undermine our way to life." (Now Condi, because they want to? What makes them 'want to?' Think Condi.)

The secretary said terrorists have attacked innocents all over the world. "They've attacked in Morocco and in Bali and in Egypt and in London and in Madrid," she said. "And until everybody in the world calls it by name - the evil that it is - (and) stops making excuses for them, then I think we're going to have a problem."

She said she hopes that after the recent bombings in England and Egypt and the suicide bombing that killed children getting candy from American soldiers in Baghdad "that people will call this by name and stop making excuses for these people."

Condi, so "knowledgeable" yet so rambling and confused, that name is.... say it, say it Condi!

I wonder about the shelf-life I think I'm seeing stamped on Condi Rice and her clique. they are mostly students of International Relations, specifically in the field of Soviet Studies, a feild now mown and reseeded by other spores, other weedy seeds, growing new and odd varieties of wild ideologies. So, where does that leave our Sovietologist professionals? I do believe I'm seeing that the best-before-date has expired, and I'm being given a mouthful of sour milk to swallow.

Haivng invested years of study and years of identity, having been invested in the study of Sovietology, and then, like old Communists, finding it shrivel into dust, Condi and her lot leave me thinking thay must preserve at all cost, for the sake of their investments, the ghost of Soviet Communism, even at the risk of claiming that Islam is not the problem but that it is old-style communism rearing its ugly head in a new form, a form of which they know a great deal, and therefore, being experts, are still of value to our world.

Don't look at this Islamic stuff, I hear them saying, it's not important, and we don't know anything about it. Look at what we do understand. Don't make us go back to school to learn all over something new. We put in too many years of study and our professional lives to simply let it all go down the drain and be left standing with nothing now to show for it.

That's my opinion. It's one of many possible. The problem isn't one of analysis, but it is one of "WTF!"

What are we going to do with the mess our political representatives have us in?

On that, I am cluelesss.

Can you teach an old dog new tricks? Maybe. Takes a lot of time and repetition "It's Islam", but will they ever learn? Elections cannot be soon enough. Surely there have to be 1 or 2 Congressmen are close to getting it. Tancredo seems close but I don't think he gets the whole picture either.
