Trainwreck Bush's Insane Iraq Plan

You know how the engines and a few cars immediately behind it just keep on going and going after they derail, long after the remaining cars lie in wreckage. That's kind of how I feel watching Bush. I remember years ago someone pointed out how Bush was set on a course (the 'light unto Muslim nations', that course) and would not change although it is clear in hindsight a dramatic change was absolutely necessary. It's not that we are losing the 'war on terror', it's not the war. Bush can't name the war. But we can.

Apparently this new 'plan' was thought up by Maliki. Huh. That incompetent Shiite Muslim whose government is a mess? (what kind of gov't did you think you would have in dar-I-slam.) But that was what was implied in this article:

... Smith said Bush told him and several other senators that the plan for the additional troops had originated with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.

Maliki had made commitments that the Iraqi government and military would take steps to strengthen security in exchange for more U.S. troops, Smith said.

Seeking to salvage the U.S. mission in an unpopular war that has lasted nearly four years, Bush's new plan is also expected to include setting "benchmarks" for the Iraqi government to meet aimed at easing sectarian violence and stabilizing the country. {Benchmarks? Like what are those benchmarks? Number of soldiers killed? Number of civilians killed. Is this the latest jizya program?}

It is also expected to contain a jobs program likely to cost upwards of $1 billion with the goal of putting Iraqis back to work. [Pay that jizya, whiteboy1, sung to 'play that music whiteboy' and boogie down tonight...}

And in this article, more details with my sarcasm inserted liberally:

... Other goals set are understood to include steps to draw more Sunnis into the Iraqi political process through local elections and to finalise a measure on the distribution of oil revenue which would see the money given to out to the country's 18 provinces on the basis of population size. (That'll work! This man has learned NOTHING about Islam and clans. NOTHING.....)

If I begged this man to bring Robert Spencer, Bat Ye'or and Andrew Bostom to Camp David for 2 days of study and education about Islam, would he ignore my pleas?

It is so sad to see so many people who are supposed to lead us when we are attacked refuse absolutely and completely to learn about the enemy because it is a RELIGION. Everybody knows every religion is sacred! Is that what Bush really believes? Their god is our God. Islam came from Abraham just like Christianity. It's hopeless. It is the perfect trojan horse for Islam.

John, wonderful comment.

"If I begged this man to bring Robert Spencer, Bat Ye'or and Andrew Bostom to Camp David for 2 days of study and education about Islam, would he ignore my pleas?"

I, and probably most people, agree that he would. I think that "Part II" of your comment pasted here,

"It is so sad to see so many people who are supposed to lead us when we are attacked refuse absolutely and completely to learn about the enemy because it is a RELIGION. Everybody knows every religion is sacred! Is that what Bush really believes? Their god is our God. Islam came from Abraham just like Christianity. It's hopeless. absolutely describes the situation to a "T."

The very word "religion" is the "shield," used like the Klingon ships' shields in Star Trek, to disguise and protect the mission of Islam.

When they use the word "religion," people fail to recognize that not all religions, not even all monotheistic religions, subscribe to the same moral code.

A "moral code" is a set of values chosen to guide our thoughts and behavior." Every moral code has a core value against which all the others are measured.

In the West, generally, the core value is "human life." Those thoughts and behaviors that tend to support life are "good," while those thoughts and behaviors that tend to threaten life are "bad."

The operative term here is "chosen." Islam has not chosen human life as its core value. Instead, it has chosen "the spread of Islam" as its "standard of the good" against which all other values are measured.

Ever wonder why Muslims celebrate things like school children being blown up, crowded market places being blown up, office buildings being blown up, etc?

The reason is that they think that by behaving that way (remember, "thinking and behavior" in the moral code), they further their core value, the "spread of Islam."

Therefore, according to their moral code, they have done something "good" when they kill innocents, and they get around the little problem of "innocence" by saying that non-Muslims are not innocent, and any Muslims who happen to be collateral damage are "martyrs."

Ah, well...

The Christian religion is as stupid as any other religion is. That has NOTHING to do with Iraq. Iraq has to do with terror and terrorists.
Bush IS RIGHT about Iraq and anyone who disagrees is a clueless ass!
