Homophobic Muslim doctor in UK in hot water

When Muslim doctors aren't terrorists, they're gay bashing.

The president of the Islamic Medical Association is to face a disciplinary hearing after making a ferocious attack on gay people in Pulse, the magazine for GPs.

In the letter, Dr Muhammad Siddiq says that gays need "the stick of the law to put them on the right path" and that they deserve neither help nor pity.

"There is punishment and fine if you throw rubbish or filth in the streets. The gays are worse than the ordinary careless citizen,” wrote the GP, who is employed by the Walsall Primary Care Trust in the West Midlands, “They are causing the spread of disease with their irresponsible behaviour. They are the root of many sexually transmitted diseases." The letter went on to say that a depressed transsexual awaiting gender reassignment was "twisted."

Dr Siddiq denies that he authored the letter and claims his son was playing a "cynical spoof" on him by forcing him to sign the letter and sending it to Pulse, a magazine for GPs. When the magazine checked with Dr Siddiq, he made no effort to deny that these were his views. Allegedly, he has privately told his colleagues that he had actually written the letter.

Dr Michael Irwin, co-ordinator of the Secular Medical Forum commented: "If Dr. Muhammad Siddiq holds these views, he should not be allowed to work within the NHS. And, if he has a ‘private practice’, his patients should be made aware of his opinion, so that only those with a similar bigoted outlook would be likely to see him. Looking to the future, I believe the GMC should require him to attend a ‘Fitness-to-Practice’ hearing: then, if it is confirmed that he has been correctly quoted, his medical registration should be suspended."

Dr Siddiq's PCT disciplinary hearing will be held next week.

As disgusting as the violent conquering death-worshipping cult Islam is, the doc is correct on this issue. Does anyone ever stop to wonder how 3% of the population managed to bully into our societies the idea that such a deviant sick behavior as male homosexuality must be considered normal?

Whether normal or not, I don't see a "Queer Jihad" going on!
This Doctor was just voicing the geeral view of Muslims.
Funny how in Iran, transgender operations are encouraged as a way of dealing with being gay.
It's all so stupid it would be funny.
It's bad to be gay, but if you like, we'll let you have your dick cut off and you can don the burkha.
Doctors are weird, and over payed, I say. (No matter where they are from.)

Gay & Muslim?? Surprised thay have not forced you to don the burqa.

A former deputy Prime minister of Malaysia was jailed for being a Muslim and a sodomist. I am surprised you got away so lightly!

Gays are not allowed, paedophiles are, so change your orientation and chase underaged girls as yr religion teaches!! Just make sure they have menstruated and its kosher!

I don't aggree with this doctor on dealing with homosexuals:A physi-cian should exercise his profession in an objective way;providing medical support must be independent from the doctor's conviction or his attitude toward the patient. On the other hand "fitness to practise" hearing would aggravate the discrimination of physicians that descend from immigrants or from an ethnic or religiuous minority, which is the case in Austria, Germany and the other countries of central Europe, which have recently become members of the "Eurpean Community"
