Dutch lawmakers offended by US lawmaker
By DESMOND BUTLER, Associated Press Writer Sat Oct 27, 11:54 AM ET
WASHINGTON - Dutch lawmakers who recently visited the Guantanamo Bay military prison said they were offended by a testy exchange in Washington with a senior congressional Democrat.
The lawmakers said that Rep. Tom Lantos, D-Calif., chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told them that "Europe was not as outraged by Auschwitz as by Guantanamo Bay."
[ED- Damn right! About time someone said it! Kudos, sir!]
Lantos, a Holocaust survivor, was responding to arguments that the United States should shut down the prison, located on a U.S. naval base in Cuba, the lawmakers said. Mariko Peters, a member of the Dutch Green Party, who began the exchange with Lantos, said she took notes of the remarks.
[ED- Probably taking notes so she can report this alarming lack of dhimmitude to her future Muslim overlords. Green is the color of Islam and Jihad, after all.]
Before the Guantanamo exchange, the lawmakers had discussed a debate in the Netherlands about whether the country should maintain its 1,600 troops serving in NATO's Afghanistan operations.
"You have to help us, because if it was not for us you would now be a province of Nazi Germany," Lantos said, according to the Dutch lawmakers.
[ED- Or they'd be speaking Russian by now.]
"The comments killed the debate," said Harry van Bommel, a member of the Socialist Party. "It was insulting and counterproductive."

UPDATE: Malaysia Today (M-T) has now reprinted this article. The comments that follow this posting at M-T are largely full of contempt and vitriol for the US, as well as for the cause of freedom in general. If you want to see the hatred that Malaysians hold in their hearts for freedom, for Americans and for America, look no further than here.
SECOND UPDATE: M-T was recently seriously hacked. As a result, the above listed article at M-T is now gone, along with all the aforementioned anti-American comments, likely forever.
Recently I was asked to compose a letter for a blog calling itself 'BlogtoAmerica.' Here is my response:
Dear Global Community,
I thought I knew what it meant to be an American citizen. After all, I went to college for all those years, kept up with current events and international affairs, and happily counted many foreigners as personal friends. It took my moving overseas to show me how uninformed and downright ignorant I was.
I lived in Malaysia for over two years, from mid-2004 until the end of last year. It was an immensely educational and sobering experience, because Malaysians by and large do not have the same freedoms that we Americans have and take almost universally for granted.
For instance, if Americans wish to show displeasure with their government, they can write a letter to the editor or representative, or post to any website, or even stand on a sidewalk and yell slogans about it. They don't need anyone's say-so or permission before doing any of this. So, you can stand on a street corner and hurl invective at (for instance) President Bush all day long, to your heart's content. Then, you can go home and sleep peacefully, knowing that the authorities will never come after you because you openly criticized the government.
Don't believe me? Just ask Michael Moore. Not only does he protest against the US government on a fairly regular basis, he's gotten quite rich doing it. You may have even heard of his movies, such as 'Fahrenheit 911' or his books, like 'Dude, Where's My Country?', all of which savage the current administration. How many times has he been arrested for his political views? Zero, zip, nada.
In Malaysia, on the other hand, books and articles that are critical of the government are suppressed and not allowed in the local media. There is a lengthy list of books and movies that are banned by the authorities. All public gatherings require police permission beforehand. The police can and routinely do deny permission to any groups that are suspected of having views that are critical of the government. 'Unlawful' demonstrations that do occur are subject to harsh measures such as tear gas, water cannon, the truncheon, and arbitrary arrest.
Malaysia's leading political dissident, Raja Petra Kamarudin (usually referred to by his initials RPK), is someone I can happily count as a personal friend. In 2001 he was arrested and held without charge under Malaysia's draconian Internal Security Act for a number of months after openly and repeatedly criticizing the government. Earlier this year, he and his wife were summoned by the police for interrogation after a high ranking Malaysian minister in their government alleged that RPK had posted 'seditious' material on his well read political website, Malaysia Today. He and his wife has also received a number of threats to their physical person for materials on his website that expose government corruption. RPK is a brilliant, principled man, an asset to his nation who constantly lives in fear.
All Malaysians are required to have a national ID card that identifies the bearer's religion. If you are born to a Muslim parent, you are by law a Muslim, for life. You are also not allowed to convert out of or leave Islam. Those that attempt to do so are subject to fines and 'religious rehabilitation', which nothing more than an evil mix of brainwashing and coercion, and involves indefinite detention without trial. It is an official system specially designed to torment innocent people. Even the more fortunate Malaysians, the non Muslims, are not allowed to state their 'religion' on their IDs as 'none', 'athiest', 'secular humanist', 'Wiccan', or 'Jewish', among other things.
Could Americans imagine living like Malaysians, where dissent is discouraged and freedom is stamped out? Would Michael Moore or his spouse appreciate official harassment from the US government, as RPK must endure? Would you relish having an ID card that names your religion?
I know America is not perfect, and I am painfully aware of the many problems. But I also know that millions of foreigners would happily trade away everything they own for just a chance to live in America, the land of the free. If you were in their shoes, wouldn't you?

Glenn Beck, no stranger to controversy, lays it on the line for Muslims in this vid from CNN. He says that if a Muslim terrorist attack kills tens of thousands of innocent Americans in the US, the (probable) American response to such a cataclysm will leave Muslims viewing the West through razor wire.
For the record, I hope he’s wrong.

SAN'A, Yemen Oct 25, 2007
Yemen has set free one of the al-Qaida masterminds of the USS Cole bombing in 2000 that killed 17 American sailors, a senior security official said Thursday.
Jamal al-Badawi (see photo), who is wanted by the FBI, was convicted in 2004 of plotting, preparing and helping carry out the USS Cole bombing and received a death sentence that was commuted to 15 years in prison.
He and 22 others, mostly al-Qaida fighters, escaped from prison in 2004. But al-Badawi was granted his freedom after turning himself in 15 days ago and pledging loyalty to Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, said the official...
Even Badawi's supposed 'oath' is a sham. He can go right back to killing Americans even if he keeps that ridiculous and worthless 'oath' of his. Why a government supposedly allied with the US would trust the word of a terrorist, convicted murderer, and fugitive from justice is not explained.
Here's my take. Yemen's 'alliance' with the US is as genuine as Yemen's bogus brand of justice, or that terrorist's promise, or a $3 dollar bill for that matter. Yemen, like all the rest of the Arab/Muslim kleptocracies, is an enemy state and should be treated accordingly.

Ladies and gentleman, Malaysia is facing a cash crunch.
The oil, lifeblood of the Government's treasury, is running out. Hugely expensive programmes such as NEP and subsidies are politically untouchable, so hence must run in perpetuity. And of course Malaysia will in the future need more massive Merdeka parades, more shiny new Russian jets to overfly said parades, and more spaceflight participants to consume teh tarik and commit khalwat in orbit. So many expenses and dwindling income. What to do?
Simply put, Malaysia seriously needs a lot of cash...and the little cash-loaded red dot to our south (which need not yet be named) needs real estate and resources. So my friends, with my tongue placed firmly in cheek, I would like to offer this simple answer for Malaysia's impending financial woes.
Let's sell Johor to Singapore!
That's right, not just the troublesome metropolis of Johor Bahru...the whole state of Johor-- lock, stock and barrel.
Quite obviously, it's a mutually beneficial deal. UMNO/BN gets billions in hard currency that they could not obtain otherwise, and hence get the grease that lubricates the wheels of their, ahem, 'unique' brand of government. Singapore gets desperately needed living space, and also acquires vital resources that it no longer has to buy from its surly neighbours (like sand and drinking water). Not to mention that those annoying issues like the causeway and the crooked bridge are rendered moot, because Singapore will own both sides of the strait. Both sides win!
Oh sure, the Sultan in JB may have a small objection to the aforementioned deal. Enough cash in his pocket and the usual UMNO-style kickback should settle the matter in the usual way. OK, let's not call it a kickback. We can call it a small gratuity, with another estate or two in Switzerland thrown in to sweeten the transaction. Besides, I am quite sure that the Sultan can work out a deal with the pragmatic folks south of the (current) border to look as if he's still in charge whilst the practical bureaucrats of the PAP take care of the less glamourous aspects of running an efficient government. Moreover, once the relatively non-corrupt Singaporean police show up in Johor Bahru and clean up the place in short order, the folks in JB should quickly grow positively fond of their new landlords. After all the BN-sanctioned corruption and violence that's plagued the place for decades, who wouldn't be grateful?
Of course, after a half century of watching UMNO governments run Johor into the ground, I wouldn't blame the Singaporeans a whit if they didn't want any part of this proposed transaction. Compared to their immaculately-kept island, Johor can best be described as a handyman's special, or a 'fixer-upper'. It would take a ton of work to spruce up the place. But the Singaporeans don't seem too averse to a dint of hard work. After all, the miracle that is today's Singapore certainly didn't build itself, did it?
Alright, it doesn't have to be an outright sale. Perhaps the parties could opt for a long-term lease with an option to buy. Let the potential new owners test-drive their new property, kick the tires, and see how they like it.
After all, the Singaporeans wouldn't want any buyer's remorse, would they?

If This Is the Shape of the Conservative Party to Come, Then All I Can Say Is This: Shame on the Tories!
BNP: Labour may be the party of government and so deservedly gets the blame for allowing the creeping Islamification of our country but the leading party of opposition is not far behind Labour in its dhimmitude. The Conservatives want Muslim votes as eagerly as does Labour as it haemorrhages support amongst its traditional base of “middle England”.
The Conservative Muslim Forum, a body set up by David Cameron to advise the Conservatives on Muslim issues has criticised the Government's relationship with Israel and concluded that Iran has "legitimate" reasons for wanting nuclear weapons.
The Conservative Muslim Forum also wants the compulsory history curriculum in schools changed to give "full recognition to the massive contribution that Islam has made to the development of Western civilisation".
It also argues that preachers who advocate a rejection of democracy and its institutions should not be denied entry into Britain. Conservatives chase Muslim votes (more)
NB: Mark Alexander doesn't support any party. He is the independent voice of reason.
Hat tip to Citizen Warrior for this horrific video. Be warned: This video has scenes which many will find extremely difficult to watch:

This week the Indonesian government gave the preliminary go ahead for the Sunda Straits Bridge, a massive span that will eventually connect the islands of Java and Sumatra. This will be the longest suspension bridge on the planet, measure a total of 26km from end to end and cost at least $10 billion USD. Actual construction of the project isn't slated to start until 2012 at the earliest.
A super-sized construction project like this should have at least two major effects. One, it can be expected to attract a huge level of foreign expertise and investment to this Muslim nation (particularly from Japan, which has a lengthy history in engineering big bridges in earthquake zones). And two, Sumatra will witness a huge explosion of development once the bridge is finished, but that won't be till perhaps 2025 or even later. The population pressure on overcrowded Java is tremendous (125 mil) and that pressure needs to go somewhere. Sumatra (three times the size of Java with a pop. of 'only' 47 mil) is the nearest and logical choice.

For some reason, the originator of this video is not allowing embedding. But for anyone that wants to know what is going on in Malaysia right now, or cares about the future of this country, should watch this excellent video right now. Go on...turn off the worthless crap on Astro and watch this 15 minute video.
Shalom and have a good weekend.

An educational study in contrasts.
This week CNN is running a special series of reports on South Korea and its advanced technologies.
On the other hand there's Pakistan, where a well-known politician returning from foreign exile was greeted in the usual Muslim way (i.e. with violence and explosions).

In case you have never taken the time to read through Islam's Plan for America, here it is. Thanks to Always On Watch:
1. Terminate America's freedom of speech by replacing it with hate crime bills state-wide and nation-wide.
2. Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities to promote Islam as the original African-American's religion while Christianity is for the whites! Strange enough, no one tells the African-Americans that it was the Arab Muslims who captured them and sold them as slaves, neither the fact that in Arabic the word for black and slave is the same, "Abed."
3. Engage the American public in dialogues, discussions, debates in colleges, universities, public libraries, radio, TV, churches and mosques on the virtues of Islam. Proclaim how it is historically another religion like Judaism and Christianity with the same monotheistic faith.
4. Nominate Muslim sympathizers to political office for favorable legislation to Islam and support potential sympathizers by block voting.
5. Take control of as much of Hollywood, the press, TV, radio and the internet as possible by buying the corporations or a controlling share of stock.
6. Yield to the fear of imminent shut-off of the lifeblood of America - the black gold. America's economy depends on oil, (at least 1000 products are derived from oil), and so does its personal and industrial transportation and manufacturing -41% of the US's oil comes from the Middle East.
7. Yell, "foul, out-of-context, personal interpretation, hate crime, Zionist, un-American, inaccurate interpretation of the Quran" anytime Islam is criticized or the Quran is analyzed in the public arena.
8. Encourage Muslims to penetrate the White House, specifically with Islamists who can articulate a marvelous and peaceful picture of Islam. Acquire government positions, get membership in local school boards. Train Muslims as medical doctors to dominate the medical field, research and pharmaceutical companies. Take over the computer industry. Establish Middle Eastern restaurants throughout the U.S. to connect planners of Islamization in a discreet way. Ever notice how numerous Muslim doctors in America are, when their countries need them more desperately than America?
9. Accelerate Islamic demographic growth via:
a. Massive immigration (100,000 annually since 1961)
b. No birth control whatsoever - every baby of Muslim parents is automatically a Muslim and cannot choose another religion later.
c. Muslim men must marry American women and Islamize them (10,000 annually). Then divorce them and remarry every five years - since one cannot have the Muslim legal permission to marry four at one time. In America, it's all legal.
d. Convert angry, alienated black inmates and turn them into militants (so far 2000 released inmates have joined Al Qaeda worldwide). Only a few have been captured in Afghanistan and on American soil. The rest are in sleeper cells.
10. Reading, writing, arithmetic and research through the American educational system, mosques and student centers (now 1500) should be sprinkled with dislike of Jews, evangelical Christians and democracy. There are 300 exclusively Muslim schools with loyalty to the Quran, not the U.S. Constitution.
11. Provide very sizeable monetary Muslim grants to colleges and universities in America to establish "Centers for Islamic studies" with Muslim directors to promote Islam in higher education institutions.
12. Let the entire world know through propaganda, speeches, seminars, local and national media that terrorists have hijacked Islam, not the truth, which is Islam hijacked the terrorists. Furthermore in January of 2002, Saudi Arabia's Embassy in Washington mailed 4500 packets of the Quran, videos, promoting Islam to America's high schools--free. They would never allow us to reciprocate.
13. Appeal to the historically compassionate and sensitive Americans for sympathy and tolerance towards the Muslims in America who are portrayed as mainly immigrants from oppressed countries.
14. Nullify America's sense of security by manipulating the intelligence community with misinformation. Periodically terrorize Americans of impending attacks on bridges, tunnels, water supplies, airports, apartment buildings and malls. (We have experienced this far too often since 9-11.)
15. Form riots and demonstrations in the prison system demanding Islamic Sharia as the way of life, not American's justice system.
16. Open numerous 'charities' throughout the U.S. but use the funds to support Islamic terrorism with American dollars.
17. Raise interest in Islam on America's campuses by insisting that freshman take at least one course on Islam. Be sure that the writer is a bonafide American, Christian, scholarly and able to cover up the violence in the Quran and express the peaceful, spiritual and religious aspect only.
18. Unify the numerous Muslim lobbies in Washington, mosques, Islamic student centers, educational organizations, magazines and papers by internet and an annual convention to coordinate plans, propagate the faith and engender news in the media of their visibility.
19. Send intimidating messages and messengers to the outspoken individuals who are critical of Islam and seek to eliminate them by hook or crook.
20. Applaud Muslims as loyal citizens of the US by spotlighting their voting record as the highest percentage of all minority and ethic groups in America.

ISLAM & DEMOCRACY Are they compatible?
The United American Committee has funded two speakers to take on the notorious Muslim Public Affairs Council at an upcoming College Republican sponsored panel discussion on the subject of whether or not Islamic doctrine is compatible with democracy. Nonie Darwish and Hasan Mahmud, along with former Republican Party state chairman Shawn Steel will be countering pro-Sharia (Islamic law) arguments from the Islamist MPAC and will bring to light the facts which show how Sharia is everything counter to what democracy stands for.

NEW YORK TIMES: When Osama bin Laden issued his videotaped message to the American people last month, a young jihad enthusiast went online to help spread the word.
“America needs to listen to Shaykh Usaamah very carefully and take his message with great seriousness,” he wrote on his blog. “America is known to be a people of arrogance.”
Unlike Mr. bin Laden, the blogger was not operating from a remote location. It turns out he is a 21-year-old American named Samir Khan who produces his blog from his parents’ home in North Carolina, where he serves as a kind of Western relay station for the multimedia productions of violent Islamic groups.
In recent days, he has featured “glad tidings” from a North African militant leader whose group killed 31 Algerian troops. He posted a scholarly treatise arguing for violent jihad, translated into English. He listed hundreds of links to secret sites from which his readers could obtain the latest blood-drenched insurgent videos from Iraq.
His neatly organized site also includes a file called “United States of Losers,” which showcased a recent news broadcast about a firefight in Afghanistan with this added commentary from Mr. Khan: “You can even see an American soldier hiding during the ambush like a baby!! AllahuAkbar! AllahuAkbar!”
Mr. Khan, who was born in Saudi Arabia and grew up in Queens, is an unlikely foot soldier in what Al Qaeda calls the “Islamic jihadi media.” He has grown up in middle-class America and wrestles with his worried parents about his religious fervor. Yet he is stubborn. “I will do my best to speak the truth, and even if it annoys the disbelievers, the truth must be preached,” Mr. Khan said in an interview.
While there is nothing to suggest that Mr. Khan is operating in concert with militant leaders, or breaking any laws, he is part of a growing constellation of apparently independent media operators who are broadcasting the message of Al Qaeda and other groups, a message that is increasingly devised, translated and aimed for a Western audience. The eloquent and provocative Hugh Fitzgerald over at Jihad Watch has a message for Turkey, a supposed 'ally' of the US. Turkey, in case you haven't heard, is throwing a hissy fit over a non-binding resolution recently passed by a US Congressional Committee that voted to call the WW1 Ottoman mass murders of Armenian Christians officially a 'genocide'.
Note to the Turkish government:
1) The Cold War, or at least the First Cold War, is over. It is no longer 1950, or 1960. There is no longer a need for Turkey's help in confronting Russia, which, while it has reverted to unpleasantness and despotism, is not the menace it once was. And Turkey is not quite so important a place for listening-posts and other bases.
2) Turkey was seen, not quite correctly, as a staunch ally against Communism, because, you see, "Islam is a bulwark against Communism." American policymakers liked the Turkish generals, with their stolid soldiers (who fought in Korea). But they failed to realize that they got along so swimmingly with those Turkish generals not because they were such good Muslims (and therefore positively bulwarkish against Communists), but because they were not -- because they were in fact "modern Turks," bearers and preservers and protectors of the Kemalist legacy.
3) Those Turkish generals, and the secular class of Turks whose development had occurred because of the constraints Ataturk placed on the political and social power of Islam, did not do what they should have before the Return of Islam under Erbakan, and such shadowy backers as Fethuleh, and Erdogan, and now Gul. That is, they did not continue to pursue, to push still further, the Kemalist program. They were satisfied with what had been achieved. Like the leftists in Iran who made common cause with Khomeini, they could not quite believe that the lowly Muslims -- that is, the real Believers -- would ever return to power. But they have, and they are also, cunningly and methodically, chipping away at the whole Kemalist enterprise.
4) Turkey has not fulfilled, as it seems to think, its duties to its American "ally." It did not permit the use of Incirlik airbase. Three rather than four divisions, therefore, had to take over Iraq. There was no invasion force from the north that might have made a difference in Anbar.
5) The Turkish population has, in the last few years, made a viciously anti-American movie -- one depicting American soldiers in Iraq as veritable Nazis, and a Jewish doctor as a Mengele-like figure, harvesting the organs of dead Iraqis to be sent to such places as "Los Angeles and Tel Aviv" -- into the biggest Turkish box-office smash of all time. And at the top of the book bestseller list was a Turkish edition of Mein Kampf. And high Turkish officials described the American effort in Iraq as one of rapacious murderers. No one in Turkey seemed to think they were duty-bound to protest. No one seemed to realize that there was anything that needed protesting.
6) Turkey is a member of NATO. The Turks apparently think they will remain in NATO no matter how outrageously they behave. But why should NATO continue to tolerate an Islamic country? What conceivable good can come of having privy to NATO circles a government like that now in power in Istanbul, given that the great threat to the other countries of NATO, and to the Western alliance, comes now from the forces of Jihad? That is, Jihad through terrorism, Jihad through qitaal or conventional warfare, Jihad through the Money Weapon, Jihad through campaigns of Da'wa, Jihad through demographic conquest, Jihad through the constant pressure and battering of the legal and political institutions of every Infidel nation-state in which Muslims now feel themselves to be sufficiently numerous and powerful to act in such a manner. They are sure that there will be no consequences no matter what changes in those institutions or special treatment that they continue to demand. They are sure there will be no consequences despite the extraordinary prickliness and quickness to anger, and the campaigns of apologetics intended to sow deliberate confusion among the Infidels, and the refusal to collaborate, as one would think all Muslims would be eager to, falling all over themselves to, with security forces in ferreting out all those -- those "few" -- who have "hijacked a great religion" and so need to be watched, reported on, taken into custody, expelled or imprisoned.
The Turkish government may find that its threats will win it a temporary reprieve in Washington. It may be that the Bush Administration will be able to stop this resolution from being passed. It may be that Bush thinks that the large-scale murders of Christian Armenians by Muslim Turks began in 1915, when it began twenty years before, with no "wartime conditions" to blame, with the first great modern massacre of those Christian Armenians (in which both Muslim Turks and Muslim Kurds participated): the massacres of 1894-96.
But it won't be able to do that forever. It is up to the secular Turks -- Orhan Pamuk has been among the first -- to start discussing the mass murder, or genocide, of the Armenians. They can't hope to prevent the discussion. The more they try to stop it, the more intense that discussion will become. Vahakn Dadrian's book will go into another edition, and another, and another. And Spyros Vryonis's work on the massacres of the Greeks, and the 1955 attacks -- The Mechanism of Catastrophe -- will start being read more avidly. The more they deny, the more it will come out.
And they will see. They can already see that the E.U. does not need Turkey, does not want Turkey. And they will see that NATO, and the Americans, do not need Turkey, a recalcitrant Turkey, a difficult Turkey, a Turkey that makes demands for the rewriting or the ignoring of history. This is not a Turkey that the American government needs quite so much. After all, if the Turkish army will not be ordered to collaborate with Infidels against other Muslims -- and it will not be, not by the current government -- then what good is Turkey to NATO? Who will it fight, or help to fight?
The Americans should have learned, must have learned, that they never again should invade and remain in a Muslim country. By all means, when necessary, bomb from on high; that's what missiles and planes in the Air Force are for. But not land troops, not remaining in place among a permanently hostile population -- hostile not because we do this or fail to do that, and not as Bush likes to say "because of who we are" (meaning, as he does, people who "love freedom" blah blah blah), but "because of who we are" in another, more primitive and obvious sense: we are not Muslims, we are instead Infidels. That's enough. That's more than enough.
This Tarbaby in Iraq apparently now is forcing the Administration to placate Turkey. That is one more reason, if one more were needed, to exit Iraq as soon as an administration comes to power that is capable of coming to its geopolitical senses.
The brouhaha may, not right away, but soon, lead to Turkey threatening to leave NATO. No doubt the Turkish government fully expects the Americans to rush to them, to offer them this and offer them that in an attempt to get them to stay. They may find that no one tries to stop them, that every country in NATO is secretly pleased that the one Muslim state has removed itself, voluntarily, and thus relieved NATO members of the difficult and embarrassing undertaking of forcing Turkey out.

It should be obvious to all thinking men and women that the West is in a battle for survival. Unfortunately, there are far too few people around who understand the problem. There are even fewer people around willing to do anything about it. This is the sadness of our time.
There is so much glib talk about the West being democratic. As the years go by, there is increasing evidence that the West is losing its democracy, since important decisions are being made, without the least consultation with the people, without the least consultation with the voters who have put the politicians in power. In fact, it seems to me that most politicians are abusing the powers that they have been given. And let’s not forget this: They have been given power to safeguard our freedoms. Yet each and every day we can read of this being banned and that being outlawed.
To heap coals on the fire, many Westerners have become hedonists. So many people today care far more about the pleasures of life, the second home, the second or third car, the multiple foreign holidays per annum, but pay scant regard for what is going on politically in their countries. The representative who gets their vote is often the representative who is the most handsome, or the one who will give them the best tax break. They want more of everything; yet they are willing to give up nothing.
But it is a fact of life that there are times when, in the interests of survival, people have to sacrifice. The Second World War was a case in point. Without sacrifice, that war would never have been won, and the ideology of National Socialism would never have been beaten.
At present, we have another ideology trying to destroy our civilization. Its name is Islam. Yet the best that our leaders can do is kow-tow to Muslims, the best thing they can do is give in to their every wish and demand. It’s easier that way. It involves far less courage, and in the short-term, it involves far less sacrifice. But don’t be fooled, ladies and gentleman. The sacrifice will come, as sure as night follows day. We will have to sacrifice our culture, for in the long-term, our civilization will be subsumed by an Islamic ‘civilization.’
One of the problems is this: Westerners have become far too hedonistic, whereas Muslims are willing and able and ready to fight for their cause. And what is that cause? To turn Dar ul harb’, the ‘House of War’, into Dar ul Islam, or the ‘House of Islam.’ They are determined to achieve their goals; we should be equally as determined to thwart their efforts. But we seem not to be. We are busy giving in to their demands, for it must be said that our leaders show every sign of being jelly-bellied in the face of Islam. They lack courage, lack insight and lack any basic understanding of the nature of the problem, and they certainly lack the determination to stop the rot.
In many ways, Muslims are cleverer than we are. They will not give in. They are also far, far more committed to their religion than Westerners are to Christianity. Theirs is a supremacist ideology; our current ideology if we can grace it with such a name is self-deprecating. We make excuses for ourselves at each and every turn.
No war was ever won that way!
President Bush has a lot to answer for, as does the erstwhile prime minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair. Both have shown themselves to be pussies rather than lions, both have shown themselves to be inept.
How, for example, could a war in Iraq be justified when most of the 9/11 attackers came from Saudi Arabia? Did it make any sense to invade Iraq rather than Saudi Arabia? Did it make any sense to make the Iraqis suffer for the wrongdoing of the Saudis?
But the invasion of Saudi Arabia was never a realistic option for President Bush and Prime Minister Blair, since the US and the UK have a master-slave relationship with the desert kingdom. We are the slaves, and they are the masters!
The latest comments by the US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia show just how weak President Bush and his administration truly are. It is disgraceful that Bush can fawn over the Saudis and Muslims as he does, when it was they who have wreaked havoc with freedom ever since 9/11, it is they who have brought a pall over life in the West ever since that fateful, egregious day, and it is they who fund the spread of Wahhabism in the West.
President Bush ought to feel ashamed of himself. He tried to bring democracy to Iraq, to a part of the world where it was not wanted, in the naïve belief that all people want the same thing, yet all the while our freedoms and liberties have been eroded here at home, both in the US and in the rest of the West by our leaders' craven behaviour.
History will not be kind either to Bush or Blair or any other politicians who fail to recognize the dangers we face, and who fail to take the necessary measures to safeguard our liberties and our civilization. For it has been under their watch that Islam has grown so strong in the midst of our Judeo-Christian civilization, not under anybody else’s.
Soft thinkers are inclined to think that all will be well, and that nothing can happen to our beloved democracies. They would do well to remember just how easily the Soviet Union was toppled. What happened there can also happen here.
When President Bush retires in 2008, he will have plenty of time to ruminate on his mistakes. If he has any conscience at all, the best he can hope for is loss of sleep. I feel sure that Blair already is losing his!
Hedonists, slavish acceptance and adherence to mythical concepts such as Islam being a religion of peace, something which Bush is apt to state over and over, will do nothing to safeguard our civilization. Merely stating something over and over, ad nauseam, does not make it true.
President Bush is well on the way to making slaves of us all! Dear readers, wake up from those reveries! Hedonism and weakness never won any war. This is a war to the death. It behoves us not to forget the story of the fall of Rome.

Welcome, Malaysia Today readers.
Malaysia Today's editor and site owner RPK won't touch these words with a ten foot pole--you'll never see 'A Letter to Mankind' at his well-read political website. Too provocative, I suppose. After all, he's a Muslim and the truth about Islam is something he is not going to be too interested in.
Dear fellow human,
Today humanity is being challenged. Unthinkable atrocities take place on daily basis. There is an evil force at work that aims to destroy us. The agents of this evil respect nothing; not even the lives of children. Every day there are bombings, every day innocent people are targeted and murdered. It seems as if we are helpless. But we are not!
The ancient Chinese sage Sun Zi said, "Know your enemy and you won't be defeated". Do we know our enemy? If we don't, then we are doomed.
Terrorism is not an ideology, it is a tool; but the terrorists kill for an ideology. They call that ideology Islam.
The entire world, both Muslims and non-Muslims claim that the terrorists have hijacked "the religion of peace" and Islam does not condone violence.
Who is right? Do the terrorists understand Islam better, or do those who decry them? The answer to this question is the key to our victory, and failure to find that key will result in our loss and death will be upon us. The key is in the Quran and the history of Islam.
Those of us, who know Islam, know that the understanding of the terrorists of Islam is correct. They are doing nothing that their prophet did not do and did not encourage his followers to do. Murder, rape, assassination, beheading, massacre and sacrilege of the dead "to delight the hearts of the believers" were all practiced by Muhammad, were taught by him and were observed by Muslims throughout their history.
If truth has ever mattered, it matters most now! This is the time that we have to call a spade a spade. This is the time that we have to find the root of the problem and eradicate it. The root of Islamic terrorism is Islam. The proof of that is the Quran.
We are a group of ex-Muslims who have seen the face of the evil and have risen to warn the world. No matter how painful the truth may be, only truth can set us free. Why this much denial? Why so much obstinacy? How many more innocent lives should be lost before YOU open your eyes?
We urge the Muslims to leave Islam. Stop with excuses, justifications and rationalizations. Stop dividing mankind into "us" vs. "them" and Muslims vs. Kafirs. We are One people, One mankind! Muhammad was not a messenger of God. It is time that we end this insanity and face the truth. The terrorists take their moral support and the validation for their actions from you. Your very adherence to their cult of death is a nod of approval for their crimes against humanity.
We also urge the non-Muslims to stop being politically correct lest they hurt the sensitivities of the Muslims. To Hell with their sensitivities! Let us save their lives, and the lives of millions of innocent people.
Millions, if not billions of lives will be lost if we do nothing. Time is running out! "All it takes for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing." Do something! Send this message to everyone in your address book and ask them to do the same. Defeat Islam and stop terrorism. This is your world, save it.

President Bush wants to assure that Turkey remains our 'friend' so that his stupid 'democracy to the Musulman' plan works, which it won't. Just how ignorant of Islam is Bush? Apparently appallingly ignorant. He wants Congress not to condemn the Armenian genocide because it will hurt Turkey's feelings. Oh no! Funny how seven years of listening to muslim apologists and dhimmi scholars can really muddy that little brain of his.
Concerned Citizen at JihadWatch dug up this gem from Bush in the year 2000:
“The twentieth century was marred by wars of unimaginable brutality, mass murder and genocide. History records that the Armenians were the first people of the last century to have endured these cruelties. The Armenians were subjected to a genocidal campaign that defies comprehension and commands all decent people to remember and acknowledge the facts and lessons of an awful crime in a century of bloody crimes against humanity. If elected President, I would ensure that our nation properly recognizes the tragic suffering of the Armenian people."

US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Recognizes Ramadan and Says Americans Have the Deepest Respect for Muslims
Question: Is this like the deep respect Muslims have for Americans and other infidels?
ARAB NEWS: RIYADH, 10 October 2007 — US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ford M. Fraker termed the US House of Representatives resolution recognizing Ramadan and expressing the deepest respect to Muslims in the United States as “historic”.
The resolution was adopted in the House by a vote of 376-0 last week for the first time.
“We welcome the resolution from the US House of Representatives recognizing the holy month of Ramadan and expressing respect to Muslims,” said Fraker. “This message of friendship is particularly appropriate here, the home of Islam’s two holiest mosques.”
The American envoy noted that “this resolution confirms that Congress and the American people are fully supportive of these efforts.”
The resolution, which acknowledges the importance of Muslims in America, is the first of its kind, introduced by Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas) and co-sponsored by 30 legislators.
The resolution was strongly backed by Democrat Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, the first Muslim to be elected to US Congress.
Fraker underscored the US Embassy’s community outreach efforts, including hosting iftar meals during Ramadan.
“Moreover, we hosted Imam Muhammad Bashar Arafat, who spoke to Saudi audiences about Muslim life in America and shared his peaceful messages of cooperation and dialogue between cultures,” he said.
“We would like to take this opportunity to wish your readers Ramadan Kareem and Eid Mubarak,” he added.
A statement posted at the US Embassy website said that US President George W. Bush has expressed happiness on the adoption of this resolution.

I was at curbside at 24th and M, Washington DC . 16 Degrees with a light breeze. Going home after my second week of freezing temps to my warm home in SoCal. Take a walk on the beach, ride a horse, climb a mountain and get back to living. I'm tired of the cold.
paying the taxi fare at Dulles in front of the United Airlines counter, still cold.
engaged the self-serve ticker machine and it delivers my ticket, baggage tag and boarding pass. Hmmm, that Marine over there is all dressed up in his dress blues a bit early this morning... "Good Morning Captain, you're looking sharp." He says, "Thank you, sir."
Pass Security and to my gate for a decaf coffee and 5 hours sleep. A quick check of the flight status monitor and UA Flt 211 is on time. I'm up front, so how bad can that be? Hmmm, there's that same Marine. He must be heading to Pendleton to see his lady at LAX for the long weekend, all dressed up like that. Or maybe not. I dunno.
The speaker system announces "Attention in the boarding area, we'll begin boarding in 10 minutes, we have some additional duties to attend to this morning, but we'll have you out of here on time."
The Marine Captain has now been joined by five others. BINGO, I get it, he's not visiting his lady, he's an official escort. I remember doing that once, CACO duty. I still remember the names of the victim and family, The Bruno Family in Mojave - all of them, wows, that was 24 years ago.
On board, 0600:
"Good morning folks, this is the Captain. This morning we've been attending to some additional duties, and I apologize for being 10 minutes late for push back, but I believe we'll be early into LAX. This morning it is my sad pleasure to announce that 1st LT Jared Landaker, USMC will be flying with us to his Big Bear home in Southern California. Jared lost his life over the skies of Iraq earlier this month, and today we have the honor of returning him home along with his mother, father and brother . Please join me in making the journey comfortable for the Landaker family and their uniformed escort. Now sit back and enjoy your ride. We're not expecting any turbulence until we reach the Rocky Mountain area, but we'll do what we can to ensure a smooth ride. For those interested, you can listen in to our progress on Channel 9."
Click Channel 9: "Good morning UA 211. You are cleared to taxi, takeoff and cleared to LAX as filed."
4 hours and 35 minutes later over Big Bear Mountain, the Airbus A320 makes a left roll, a steep bank and then one to the right-Nice touch. Nice tribute. Five minutes out from landing, the Captain comes on the speaker: "Ladies and Gents, after landing I'm leaving the fasten seatbelt sign on, and I ask everyone to please yield to the Landaker family. Please remain seated until all members of the family have departed the aircraft. Thank you for your patience. We are 20 minutes early."
On roll out, I notice red lights, emergency vehicles approaching. We're being escorted directly to our gate, no waiting, not even a pause. Out the left window, a dozen Marines in full dress blues. A true class act by everyone, down to a person. Way to go United Airlines for doing things RIGHT, Air Traffic Control for getting the message, and to all security personnel for your display of brotherhood.
When the family departed the aircraft everyone sat silent, then I heard a lady say,"God Bless you and your family, and thank you." Then a somber round of applause. The Captain read a prepared note from Mrs. Landaker to the effect, "Thank you all for your patience and heartfelt concern for us and our son. We sincerely appreciate the sentiment. It's good to have Jared home."
After departing the a/c I found myself along with 30 others from our flight looking out the lobby window back at the plane. Not a dry eye. It was one of the most emotional moments I've ever experienced. We all stood there silently, and watched as Jared was taken by his honor guard to an awaiting hearse. Then the motorcade slowly made it's way off the ramp.
I realized I had finally seen the silent majority. It is deep within us all. Black, Brown, White, Yellow, Red, Purple, we're all children, parents, brothers, sisters, etc - we are an American family.
Official Report: February 7, 2007, Anbar Province, Iraq ... 1st LT Jared Landaker United States Marine Corps, from Big Bear California, gave his live in service to his country. Fatally wounded when his CH-46 helicopter was shot down by enemy fire. Jared and his crew all perished. His life was the ultimate sacrifice of a grateful military family and nation.
His death occurred at the same time as Anna Nicole Smith, a drug using and undeserved 'celebrity' with a 7th grade education of no pedigree who dominated our news for two weeks while Jared became yet another statistic on CNN. And most unfortunately, Jared's death underscores a fact that we are a military at war, not a nation at war. It has been said that Marines are at war, and America is at the mall.
1st LT Landaker, a man I came to know in the sky's over America on 17 February 2007, from me to you, aviator to aviator, I am unbelievably humbled. It was my high honor to share your last flight. God bless you. Semper Fi
This true narrative was written by Stuart Witte, a former Navy pilot who is the manager of the Mojave Airport in Mojave, California. He was in Maryland on February 16 of this year to attend a Navy ceremony. He happened to end up on a flight from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles that was carrying the body of 1st Lt. Jared Landaker, a Marine helicopter pilot from Big Bear, California.
Witte also attended a memorial service for Lt. Landaker that was held at Camp Pendleton in California in March.

For how much longer are we, the British people, supposed to tolerate this extremely dangerous ideology? The following videos, dear readers, reveal the true Islam. This is Islam!
Sunday, October 07, 2007
This latest story about the obstreperousness of trainee Muslim medical students should alarm us all. It is a harbinger of the nightmare that awaits us all in the West as a result of allowing far, far too many Muslims into the Judeo-Christian West, against the wishes of the majority of electors, just to satisfy the needs of commerce for labour, often and usually cheap labour.
It should be obvious to a blind man that this group of people will not fit in with our ways. They expect us to fit in with theirs instead.
It is to be hoped that the medical profession will not give in to these students’ unreasonable demands. These students are clearly not fit for purpose.
The answer to this problem is simple: Anyone refusing to go through proper and complete medical training should be kicked out of the courses, and failed. Period! Patients cannot be expected to have to be treated by half-trained, half-baked doctors, for a half-trained doctor, in reality, is actually no doctor at all!
Our problems with Muslims and Islam are increasing by the day, and it seems that nobody has the courage to deal with those problems head-on. Our problems are not going to go away. On the contrary, they will go on increasing until a solution is found.
Muslims are rapidly turning themselves into undesirables. And it’s no good the authorities blaming the indigenous population for being Islamophobic. If Islamophobia is on the increase, then Muslims only have themselves to blame. The authorities also have to shoulder responsibility for this because they have not been firm enough with these immigrants. They should have read the riot act to them long ago, telling them to fit in or get out – forthwith.
But instead, the powers that be have acquiesced in the growth of Islam in the West, and they have continued to appease Muslims by giving in to their each and every demand and whim; and in so doing these ‘powers’ have increased the antipathy most normal people feel for Muslims.
If something isn’t done about the Muslim problem, then it is only a matter of time before blood will be shed. Not in the operating theatres, but in the streets.
Companies like ‘Boots the Chemist’ and Sainsbury’s are also not without fault, for these companies are also showing their yellow side in allowing pharmacists and girls at the check-outs to discriminate in their shops and stores.
We, the shoppers, should refuse to buy at their retail outlets until they re-normalize their policies, and we should also refuse to be treated by Muslim doctors. Consumers can ‘get picky’ too! - ©Mark
TIMESONLINE: Some Muslim medical students are refusing to attend lectures or answer exam questions on alcohol-related or sexually transmitted diseases because they claim it offends their religious beliefs.Mark Alexander
Some trainee doctors say learning to treat the diseases conflicts with their faith, which states that Muslims should not drink alcohol and rejects sexual promiscuity.
A small number of Muslim medical students have even refused to treat patients of the opposite sex. One male student was prepared to fail his final exams rather than carry out a basic examination of a female patient.
The religious objections by students have been confirmed by the British Medical Association (BMA) and General Medical Council (GMC), which both stressed that they did not approve of such actions.
It will intensify the debate sparked last week by the disclosure that Sainsbury’s is permitting Muslim checkout operators to refuse to handle customers’ alcohol purchases on religious grounds. It means other members of staff have to be called over to scan in wine and beer for them at the till.
Critics, including many Islamic scholars, see the concessions as a step too far, and say Muslims are reneging on their professional responsibilities.
This weekend, however, it emerged that Sainsbury’s is also allowing its Muslim pharmacists to refuse to sell the morning-after pill to customers. At a Sainsbury’s store in Nottingham, a pharmacist named Ahmed declined to provide the pill to a female reporter posing as a customer. A colleague explained to her that Ahmed did not sell the pill for “ethical reasons”. Boots also permits pharmacists to refuse to sell the pill on ethical grounds.
The BMA said it had received reports of Muslim students who did not want to learn anything about alcohol or the effects of overconsumption. “They are so opposed to the consumption of it they don’t want to learn anything about it,” said a spokesman.
The GMC said it had received requests for guidance over whether students could “omit parts of the medical curriculum and yet still be allowed to graduate”. Professor Peter Rubin, chairman of the GMC’s education committee, said: “Examples have included a refusal to see patients who are affected by diseases caused by alcohol or sexual activity, or a refusal to examine patients of a particular gender.”
He added that “prejudicing treatment on the grounds of patients’ gender or their responsibility for their condition would run counter to the most basic principles of ethical medical practice”. Muslim medical students get picky (more)
Fear of giving offence is killing our culture
AND THIS WITH THANKS TO Always On Watch:
Muslim dentist 'made patient cover her head'
On this date, over 400 years ago, was one of the most glorious victories over Islam ever recorded in the annals of history.
On October 7, 1571 was the Battle of Lepanto, a crucial and decisive naval engagement off the coast of Greece between the forces of Christendom and the Islamic Caliphate (i.e. the Ottoman Empire). The Kuffar, led by Don John of Austria, smashed Ottoman naval power in the Eastern Mediterranean and deftly paried yet another Muslim thrust towards Europe.
Today, Don John's magnificent achievements over malignant forces are lost and forgotten. Surely, he deserves better than this.
Let us not forget our victories of the past. Islam can and must be defeated, not only through military means, but in all realms.

Karen Armstrong has had so many failures in her life, wandering here and there seeking the answer. Convent dropout, failed academic, unappealling to men, but she kept slugging it out and found that vein of gold, Islam, or should I say defender of Islam.
Of course, she is feted by most Muslims after all she is for Islam and is helping Islam to subjugate the West. Now that she has guided the West about Islam, she is going to do the same for the Bible. Praise Jesus!
Read it if you can stand it. Armstrong is so full of it. She is the equivalent of Tariq Ramadan as the dhimmi infidel scholar, smooth talking and a pox on the west.
A question of faith
A life in writing Former nun Karen Armstrong has dedicated her life to the study of humanity's search for God. Having explained Islam to the West, she now returns to the Bible
Saturday October 6, 2007
At 17, Karen Armstrong believed she had a vocation. Dedicating her life to the search for God, she entered a strict Catholic convent. This was in the pre-Vatican Council days of silent prayer, wimples and long habits. How that vocation fell apart became the subject of the book that first brought Armstrong fame. Through the Narrow Gate is full of rage against the Catholic church, but wind the story on more than 40 years and, as Armstrong herself admits, much of the force of that teenage vocation is still with her
....Armstrong's culinary repertoire doesn't extend much beyond sandwiches.
Without the distractions of husband or children it makes her, she says, "an urban hermit". It is also at the heart of why, although she no longer calls herself a Christian, she describes herself as a "person of faith" who has found in her work a vocation and also a liberation from anger and a way to practise compassion: "My study is my religious discipline. There are little moments of transcendence, of awe, ...
..She left the convent at 24, angry and disillusioned, to do a degree at Oxford. Several failed careers followed - academic, teaching, television - as well as persistent ill-health and chronic shyness....
One thing she doesn't regret is never marrying or having children. "I was never appealing to men," she announces, adding that "I'm not sure men much like intellectual women and certainly men of my generation wouldn't want me dashing around."...
...I have nothing maternal in me, and men want to be mothered a lot of the time. I wouldn't want a large, 70-year-old baby wandering about. It's not always easy and sometimes it's lonely and desolate, but now I cling to my solitude...
..."I'm invited by governments, and Muslims in these countries thank me for speaking to westerners in a way they can understand about Islam. When I was in Lahore recently, it was very touching; my books are very popular in Pakistan. Chambermaids and porters in the hotel were rushing up to me saying, 'Thank you, thank you, you're helping us.'"
...A righteous contempt of Islam was entwined with our anti-semitism. Ever since, our rhetoric about Muslims reflects a blind anxiety about our own behaviour - anxieties about our own capacity for violence are projected onto Muslims, similarly our attitudes towards women."
...the history of religious fundamentalism over the past century shows, time and again, that when under attack such movements become more extreme. It was true of Christian fundamentalism in the 20th century as it withdrew from the mainstream into a hostile right-wing movement; it was true of the Muslim Brotherhood under persecution in Egypt in the 1960s. [That entire statement is ridiculous. Just how many Christians, evangelical no less, are going around blowing themselves up to take some infidels with them? And that evil hostile right wing movement? Oh the humanity. And then she implies that the Muslim Brotherhood was forced into violence because they were ...oppressed!]
..She worries that Islam is in danger of giving up its "unique genius", which is its pluralism; the "Qur'an is quite clear that all prophets are equally valid, and God tells Muhammad that 'we [God] have created diversity, not one ummah [community of Muslims]'". [Ah yes, Karen, the pluralistic, tolerant ummah. By the way, 'God' goes on to tell Mo that all those 'infidel ummahs' are theirs to conquer by the sword if they don't submit.]
Like I Said, if you can stomach it, go and read it.
The Christian Orang Asli (Aboriginal people) in Malaysia built their church in Kampung Jias, a small tribal village in Kelantan, Malaysia. This simple church was built in early 2007 on their own traditional land. However, on June 4th 2007 it was demolished by the local authority under the rule of PAS--an Islamic political party that rules Kelantan state.

One of Pedestrian Infidel's readers emailed this question:
I was curious about your thoughts on...Hollywood typecasting Arabs and Arab-Americans as terrorists.
I composed this reply:
My thoughts on this topic are, Hollywood can't type cast Arab Muslims as terrorists enough. Besides, it's overhyped as a 'problem'.
I think Hollywood's more insidious type casting is always making the US Government (or some 'disgruntled' or 'rogue' employee/agent[s]) out to be the ‘real’ bad guys. Syriana, Diehard 4, X-men 2, the list of movies that exemplifies this bad guy paradigm goes on and on. Even the recent movie on Daniel Pearl, a story about the horrific true-to-life torture and barbaric beheading murder of an American reporter in Pakistan, became just another pathetic cinematic exercise in asking typically pointless questions. Questions like "why do they hate us so much?" If you have to ask or wonder about such things, six years after 9-11, I sincerely suggest that you go and get your head examined. Common sense is in sadly short supply.
What a great number of people and I would really like to see from Hollywood is an unapologetically patriotic American movie where the US Government, the US Military, or just regular plain ole Americans do righteous battle with our Jihadist enemies...and kills them dead (preferably in large numbers). No apologies, hand wringing, or navel-gazing. I think there is a pent-up demand for these kind of movies in the US, a need that is easily overlooked and/or explained away by leftists, academics, journalists, and particularly, by those in Hollywood circles. Many if not most Americans are far more interested in dealing death to our enemies that wish us harm, rather than endure yet more critical self-examination that's usually in the offing at the movie theater on any given weekend.
After all, isn't there plenty of time for this sort of progressive mumbo jumbo later? In case some people haven't noticed, there's a war on, and it needs to be won.
There are many, many compelling stories of heroism that are being recorded or have taken place in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere that would make outstanding movies. These stories are no secret, are open source, and are readily available for those willing to look around for them. But as these stories of courage and noble sacrifice do not fit the "we're losing badly" narrative that Hollywood and their leftie allies have settled upon, they are ignored. It's beyond disgusting.

The big news here in Korea this week is the 'inter-Korean summit' between the South Korean president and the leader of the Korean charter member of the Axis of Evil, Lil' Kim.
North Korea faces a harsh winter ahead. Its corrupt, incompetent dictatorship cannot provide its people even marginal levels of food and housing, and this year conditions will be even worse. Summer storms and floods wiped out homes or food supplies for several hundred thousand people up North. About 20 percent of the population will be dependent on foreign food aid to get it through the next six months. Despite the arrival of foreign food in the last month, there is still food rationing in many parts of rural North Korea. The 1990s famine killed about ten percent of the population, and it appears another famine, of similar proportions, is looming.
So, in essence, the so-called summit is really Lil Kim's chance to ask his South Korean brothers something like this:
"If you South Koreans can give a bunch of jihad-lovin' kidnappin' and murderin' ragheads in Afghanistan $20 million, surely you can give your poor, suffering, starving Korean brothers 10 times that figure, along with fuel oil, food, etc etc."
North Korea's version of peace certainly isn't for the budget-conscious.

By the Anti Jihadist
Centerpiece of Malaysia's 'moderate Muslim' image is the concept of 'Islam Hadhari', which means 'Civilizational Islam'. Malaysia's Prime Minister always trots out this idea in speeches to appreciative and uncritical foreign audiences. The sheer contradiction in terms of this name notwithstanding--there is nothing civilised about Sharia or Islam, but never mind about that for now--just how 'moderate' is Islam in Malaysia nowadays?
First, here are Islam Hadhari's main points, as spelled out by the concept's inventor, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia's first Prime Minister, in 1957:
- Faith and piety in Allah
- Just and trustworthy government
- Freedom and independence to the people
- Mastery of knowledge
- Balanced and comprehensive economic development
- Good quality of life for all
- Protection of the rights of minority groups and women
- Cultural and moral integrity
- Protection of the environment
- A strong defence policy
OK, let's go down the list, point by point.
Point One--Faith and piety in Allah. Well, we all know what Islam's idea of 'piety' is ... keep the kuffar down! Islamic piety means never having to say you're sorry, especially to the infidels.
Point two--Just and trustworthy government. Now who could disagree with this? Of course, Malaysia's Official State Religion (as specified in its Constitution) is Islam, meaning that the entire national government has an official tilt towards Islam, in budgetary priorities, policy, etc. This bias, under Malaysian law, is perfectly legal. Is this 'just'? And just how trustworthy can a government be, when it has massive, systemic problems like corruption, a near-total lack of transparency, and rampant cronyism at its highest levels?
Point three--Freedom and Independence of the people. As this Malaysian High Court case clearly demonstrates, 'freedom' in Malaysia doesn't include the freedom to choose your own religion. Put another way, freedom only works if you want to become a Muslim, and then freedom ends at that point. What if you're 'born' as Muslim? No religious freedom for you either, of course. Other kinds of freedom, such as the freedom to criticize one's own government, freedom of assembly, and freedom of expression, are sharply curtailed under Malaysia's repressive Internal Security Act.
Point four--Mastery of Knowledge. As this lengthy list of censored books in Malaysia shows, there's plenty of knowledge out there in the world that your Muslim and UMNO overlords would rather you not know about nor master. In Malaysia, bad old-fashioned ignorance is obviously preferred.
Point five--Balanced and comprehensive economic development. Sounds great! However, in Malaysia, Malays and other so-called 'Bumiputra' (meaning "sons of the soil") are legally first among equals, and are favoured over non-Malays in all sorts of official ways (lower interest rates on housing loans, easier access to student loans, preferential hiring for government jobs, and more government assistance in general). This is all legal and sanctioned under longstanding Malaysian government policy, as well as the infamous Article 153 in the Malaysian Constitution. Is this balanced?
Point six--Good quality of life for all. Absolutely wonderful ... but see point five for the important catch.
Point seven--Protection of....women's rights. The Quran, Mohammed's own teachings, and 14 centuries of Islam make it very clear, that women are not the equals of men. No amount of posturing, or spin, and certainly nothing some Malaysian PM says, is going to change that. And then there's Malaysia's own misogynist 'Islamic Family Law Bill' (enacted in 2005), which makes divorce easier for Muslim men and life in general a lot tougher on Muslim women, which would have certainly pleased Mohammed.
Point eight--Cultural and moral integrity. This point sounds, to me, suspiciously like codewords for keeping Sharia and the Muslim religious police (aka 'Jakim') around forever, with the non-Muslim taxpayers stuck footing a healthy chunk of the bill. Malaysia's Religious Police periodically proclaim their intent to continue their mission of moral policing, and 'saving' the nation from evils like handholding, kissing in public, khalwat, etc. Monumental injustices like lifestyle police will never, ever go away, as long as Islam exists in this country.
Point nine--Protection of the environment. Looking around Malaysia, I see clearcutting of its jungle at a breakneck pace, crappy water and air quality, and ineffectual and spotty enforcement of its own environmental laws. When there's money to be made and kickbacks to be received, who cares a wit about the 'environment'? Certainly not some bureaucrats in Putrajaya.
Point ten--A strong defense policy. The Malaysian military and its budget will always be looked after...after all, who makes up the vast majority of military personnel? Malays, and hence Muslims, of course.
Fourteen centuries of trying to 'moderate' Islam have been an abject failure, and so Islam Hadhari has failed just like all the rest. Islam is so ingrained with violence, aggression and intolerance, that any attempt to 'moderate' or purge these elements from the ideology will render Islam unislamic--an unimaginable crime in the eyes of Mohammedans everywhere.
Islam Hadhari is not only an empty promise in the land of its birth, it is also a cheap fraud perpetrated upon an unsuspecting 'infidel' world.
