You would think Spellberg would get a clue. But as a liberal and a radical feminist with an Aisha fetish, she can't help herself. In the Wall Street Journal today ("I Did Not Kill The Jewel of Medina", she defends her criticism of the Aisha novel "The Jewel of Medina" and her urging Random House not to print blasphemous material.
"There is a long history of anti-Islamic polemic that uses sex and violence to attack the Prophet and his faith..." What, is Spellberg a Muslim? What's with "the Prophet." He's not a prophet to any infidel, he's a fraud. a murderer, a pervert. Obviuosly Spellberg has fallen head over heels in love with Mo and Aisha. Maybe she is a lesbian.
"As a historian invited to "comment" on the book by its Random House editor at the author's express request, I objected strenuously to the claim that "The Jewel of Medina" was "extensively researched," as stated on the book jacket. As an expert on Aisha's life, I felt it was my professional responsibility to counter this novel's fallacious representation of a very real woman's life. The author and the press brought me into a process, and I used my scholarly expertise to assess the novel. It was in that same professional capacity that I felt it my duty to warn the press of the novel's potential to provoke anger among some Muslims." Got that? She's an expert, a 'professional' and knows what is best for you, and of course, anyone who dares to write a novel, a piece of fiction. A novel is FICTION. It's made up! There is no rule that says it has to be historically accurate or needs to satisfy sycophant Spellberg's wet dream about Aisha. As a 'professional fraudster, Spellberg has NO problem deceiving the reader in her 'factual' book about Aisha, but historical inaccuracies in a NOVEL?! Heaven forbid! See posting below about Spelberg's lies in her 'novel.'
"I do not espouse censorship of any kind, but I do value my right to critique those who abuse the past without regard for its richness or resonance in the present." Really Spellberg? Really? So you wouldn't be bothered by the Mo cartoons? But in your book's preface you criticize those who mock Islam, who make fun of Mo and Islam in general and want censorship of those who mock Islam. To spellberg, Islam is glorious, rich and those who take a hatchet to it like me are abusing Mo and Aisha. Too bad. This obsession with Aisha is not healthy. Psychiatric counseling is in order for Spellberg.
