In a nutshell, why Malaysia sucks

A few days ago, I found to my chagrin that my login at Malaysia Today had been blocked (see inset). This caught me by surprise as I, far I knew, had done nothing to violate M-T's TOS (Terms of Service).

Naturally, I contacted M-T admin, whose reply in entirety read as follows: "no.. we have not blocked.. try again and let us know.."

So I kept trying to login, and kept getting the same response as seen here. Further emails to M-T admin about this unsatisfactory state of affairs have gone unanswered.

Never mind what the terse one line email I received says--I am wagering that I have been really banned from M-T, probably for my admittedly strident counterjihad agenda, and perhaps for the additional reason that my comments/articles/etc at M-T just might have had something to do with RPK's current two-year incarceration without trial.

In a nutshell, my defacto banning from Malaysia Today is precisely why Malaysia sucks:

  • Customer service that is unresponsive or provides little in the way of actual service
  • Or worse, lies to its own 'customers'
  • Systems that do not work
  • People in charge who don't know their own job duties or the systems they are supposed to run
  • Left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing (and vice versa)

So, it looks like M-T has taken a page from the UMNO political playbook and silenced an irritant by banning me.

If I am wrong about any of this, and this situation is somehow (and unexpectedly) resolved, I will be the first to apologize and post a retraction. But I know better.

Why are you so keen to get in? You know damn well that Malaysia Today is all about promoting Fantasy Island Islam (only happens in T.V. shows), and blasphemers like you are going to be silenced. Those allowed in are mostly sycophantic groupies with cognitive dissonance, who gush about RPK's action showing them the true, peaceful Islam, blah, blah, blah on the one hand, while ignoring all the Islamic Jihad barbarism around the world on the other hand.

Yes, Anon. you are absolutely right about the 'Fantasy Island' Islam that so many M-T commenters gush on about. There is no such thing. Meanwhile the all-too-real horrors of the jihad are plainly ignored. And that's precisely why I was there at M-T and commented as much as I did. Someone had to show just how ugly Islam really is, to anyone and everyone, Muslims especially.

Also, RPK does deserve some credit. He printed many of my pieces at M-T where I attack Islam in a very direct and unapologetic manner. He also allowed me to post many comments in the same vein. It could have been very very easy, the path of least resistance, to ignore me.

He could have done the easy thing to avoid his current imprisonment, by fleeing the country (money for him is not an issue), or knuckling under to the government's demands. RPK, to his everlasting credit, did not seek the easy way out. He's not into it for power or money -- M-T costs him RM10000 ($3000) or more a month to keep running, and he's not running for office or runs a political party. He does it all because he believes in the justness of his cause.

RPK was and still is a good person, in spite of Islam, not because of it. He deserves support and I regret that I won't be able to do that as much from now on.

So, you gave the perfect counter-example of the Lina Joy case that irrefutably puts the lie to the Muslim Professionals Forum's claim that the Koran guarantees freedom of expression. (Incidentally, this is the same bunch of hypocritical fuckwits who were overjoyed and praising their stinkin' Allah to high heavens that Lina Joy lost her case.) And what do you get for disagreeing and pointing that little inconsistency out? A condescending and icy "shut your mouth, boy, because we know better" response from the Musulman blog owner. So much for freedom of expression. See what I mean about cognitive dissonance and Fantasy Island Islam?

Hi All,
For those of us interested in countering the Malaysian Islamic Propaganda bull shit that is floated around on the web nowadays, is it not possible that we all come together and publish a blog like this is relevant to the malaysian cultural landscape? I'm not anti Muslim but the kind of shit I see on mahaguru and malaysianwaves is f**ing arsewipe.

Great Idea Bill,

My blog also carries a lot of articles, views, feedback, comments, etc. on these issues you & pedestrian infidel speak about.

Some are written in a Malaysian context & other in a global / universal format.

Cheers & all comments are welcome on my blog. No censorship.

Also check out my blogroll. Even the "enemies" are listed there. But I decided against putting up Mahaguru there, for he is clearly out of his damned mind!

Also check out this article about the nut job behind Malaysian Waves. Written by another more moderate Muslim by the way:

This Jihad Watch post mentions that Ali Sina of Faith Freedom International used to be a fervent believer in Fantasy Island Islam, just like RPK. What sets Ali Sina apart from RPK is that the former has the intellectual honesty and courage to admit his naivete and to leave Islam completely.
