Just in time for the upcoming holiday (and I don't mean Eid) shopping season. "Jihadi Killer", a new online store, has recently opened their virtual doors and yes, they cater to the counterjihad, pro-American crowd. So head over there and check out their wares. Sure the selection might be a tad limited for now, but it's still well worth a look. And if you're willing and able to shell out a few greenbacks, I'm sure the folks at Jihadi Killer would really appreciate it.
And besides...why just blog about the counterjihad when you can wear it?

Here is last week's speech of Geert Wilders, chairman of the Party for Freedom, the Netherlands, at the Four Seasons, New York, introducing an Alliance of Patriots and announcing the upcoming Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem.
Thank you very much for inviting me. Great to be at the Four Seasons. I come from a country that has one season only: a rainy season that starts January 1st and ends December 31st. When we have three sunny days in a row, the government declares a national emergency. So Four Seasons, that’s new to me.
It’s great to be in New York. When I see the skyscrapers and office buildings, I think of what Ayn Rand said: “The sky over New York and the will of man made visible.” Of course. Without the Dutch you would have been nowhere, still figuring out how to buy this island from the Indians. But we are glad we did it for you. And, frankly, you did a far better job than we possibly could have done.
I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The danger I see looming is the scenario of America as the last man standing. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe. In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: who lost Europe? Patriots from around Europe risk their lives every day to prevent precisely this scenario form becoming a reality…

The Guardian, UK: If jailing bloggers has become the latest way repressive regimes cope with the blogosphere, Malaysia has taken this trend one step further this week.
They served their highest-profile anti-government blogger, Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin (RPK), with a two-year detention order, removing him from the oversight of the courts.
It is no small source of shame that the law they are using to detain him without charge is a legacy of British colonial rule against the communist insurgency. Raja Petra, who edits the Malaysia Today website, has had several brushes with the law.
He was charged in May this year with sedition for alleging that a senior government minister was linked to the murder of a Mongolian model who was pestering him for money after he ended their affair. After his release on bail, he was detained again under the same draconian Internal Security Act on September 12 for "insulting Islam".
Blogging from his cell, Raja reported that his special branch interrogators admitted they found that none of his articles had insulted Islam. They told him his style of writing was so sophisticated that his readers could possibly misinterpret what he was trying to say.
To anyone outside the Malaysian government it is obvious who this blogger is: a well-informed critic of a corrupt regime. The renewable detention order is a way of putting him beyond the reach of the courts, where the specious actions against him can be exposed for what they are.
As he says himself, "heads they win, tails I lose".

A few days ago, I found to my chagrin that my login at Malaysia Today had been blocked (see inset). This caught me by surprise as I, far I knew, had done nothing to violate M-T's TOS (Terms of Service).
Naturally, I contacted M-T admin, whose reply in entirety read as follows: "no.. we have not blocked.. try again and let us know.."
So I kept trying to login, and kept getting the same response as seen here. Further emails to M-T admin about this unsatisfactory state of affairs have gone unanswered.
Never mind what the terse one line email I received says--I am wagering that I have been really banned from M-T, probably for my admittedly strident counterjihad agenda, and perhaps for the additional reason that my comments/articles/etc at M-T just might have had something to do with RPK's current two-year incarceration without trial.
In a nutshell, my defacto banning from Malaysia Today is precisely why Malaysia sucks:
- Customer service that is unresponsive or provides little in the way of actual service
- Or worse, lies to its own 'customers'
- Systems that do not work
- People in charge who don't know their own job duties or the systems they are supposed to run
- Left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing (and vice versa)
So, it looks like M-T has taken a page from the UMNO political playbook and silenced an irritant by banning me.
If I am wrong about any of this, and this situation is somehow (and unexpectedly) resolved, I will be the first to apologize and post a retraction. But I know better.

The continued emphasis by Muslim and non-Muslim apologists for Islam on a single verse -- "There is no compulsion in religion" -- is permitted not only because their Infidel audience has no idea either about what is said relevantly elsewhere, in hundreds of places, in the Qur'an and Hadith, and not only because they are unaware of the doctrine of abrogation or "naskh," but because they are also unaware of the precise meaning that is given to that phrase "there is no compulsion in religion" by Muslim jurisconsults. If they did look into it, they would find that the "obvious" meaning of the words -- that is, the meaning that we Infidels choose to endow that phrase with -- is not what Muslim scholars mean at all. They mean that in the end one cannot force deep belief on people, though one can force them to comply outwardly, even on pain of death. And that is what Islam is in the business of doing: forcing outward compliance, on pain of punishment that may well include, has often included, death.
But there is one more thing that should surely be offered as an objection when some fool comes along and utters credulously this "there is no compulsion in religion" and expects us to believe the Western understanding of it. That is the observable behavior of Muslims over 1350 years. What have Muslims done, when they have conquered, by force or otherwise, non-Muslim lands and peoples? They offer three possibilities: death, conversion, and, at least to those who can be classified as ahl al-kitab or "people of the book," permanent status as dhimmis, with a host of political, economic, and social disabilities which together added up to lives of humiliation, degradation, and physical insecurity, at times relieved -- but only at times -- by the occasional mollitude of a particular Muslim ruler. A slim reed on which to base one's happiness. And so, over time, many non-Muslims, in order to avoid this condition of degradation, humiliation, and physical insecurity, converted to Islam.
Why else did Hindus accept Islam? And the Muslims of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India, of today, if they were quite honest with themselves, would recognize that they are the descendants of those who were essentially forced, or deemed it absolutely necessary, to convert -- and if they were to recognize this, they might convert back. Why did the ancestors of those we now call "Bosnians" (i.e., Muslims of the Balkans) convert to Islam under Ottoman rule, if not to escape the condition of the dhimmi (and such things as the devshirme, or forced levy of Christian children)? Why did North Africa, once Christian (both Tertullian and St. Augustine came from there) become islamized and then arabized? Why did the Christians and Jews of Iraq largely disappear, leaving only the remnant left today, which is also now leaving Iraq as they are newly threatened without the "secular" despot Saddam Hussein to protect them? (His "secularism" was a response to the need to disguise his Sunni despotism, and make it "open to all," including the inoffensive and innocuous Christians.)
Were they all driven out, or did many of them, over time, convert in order to avoid their condition as dhimmis? What happened to the Christians of Byzantium? Did they all leave, or did many of them become the ancestors of those who today are utterly convinced that they have been "Muslim" and "Turk" since time immemorial?
We all know the answer to these questions. And how many of us, if we had to endure the dhimmi status, and had each year, for example, to pay a jizyah tax of, say, $20,000, would remain non-Muslims? How many can say that their children or grandchildren would also remain willing to pay the tax rather than to become Muslims?
Of course there is "compulsion in religion" in the lands of Islam. The burdens placed on non-Muslims are simply too onerous to be ignored, and many, over the past 1350 years, when living under Muslim rule, have succumbed in order to avoid the dhimmi condition.
And that succumbing, that yielding, demonstrates perfectly the "compulsion in religion" that Islam demands, whatever naive and unschooled interpretation of 2.256 any Infidel idiot chooses to give it. Muslims know better.

This essay is being re-published today. It was originally published on my weblog on November 28, 2005. Despite the enormity of the problem, nothing has been done about the increasing Islamization either of Europe or America. It is high time for something to be done about it though; it is high time for one of our politicians to bite the bullet. The hour is late. - Mark
The West is being Islamized before our very eyes! It is happening in such subtle ways that it is sometimes imperceptible to those who are not looking out for it. But much of the time, what is happening is plain to see. Each and every concession we make to Muslims is a further nail in the coffin of liberal democracy. Each time we consider granting Muslims a public holiday, each time we consider curtailing our own freedom of speech to appease them, we are assisting Muslims to further Islamize our home countries. Be sure of that!
Western governments should not be powerless to deal with this, but evenso they seem to be: They lack the will and determination to stop the rot.
Political correctness, of course, has taken its toll on the West. So has the ridiculous concept of multiculturalism. Add to this a deep-seated guilt complex, a pervasive attitude of self-denigration, extreme tolerance, and an army of apologists for Islam, and we have a catastrophe in the making!
One of our greatest mistakes is to think of Islam as just another one of the world's great religions. We shouldn't. Islam is politics or it is nothing at all, but, of course, it is politics with a spiritual dimension, politics all wrapped up in a deity.
What is the nature of the politics of Islam? Well, that's an easy one to answer: It is little different from the politics of a totalitarian state, little different from the ideologies of Nazism or communism, different only in detail rather than style. Both Nazism and communism used the purge to try and 'cleanse' society of what it considered undesirable. Islam always does the same. Both of those tolerated only a single political party. Islam generally does the same, and certainly, where it doesn't, insists that all parties be Islamic ones. This, of course, gives the establishment the power to coerce the people. G. H. Sabine, in his book, A History of Political Theory, tells us this about Nazism and communism:
...the party was a self-constituted aristocracy which has [sic] the mission partly of leading, partly of instructing, and partly of coercing the bulk of mankind along the road that it must follow. Both were totalitarian in the sense that they obliterated the liberal distinction between areas of private judgment and of public control, and both turned the educational system into an agency of universal indoctrination. In their philosophy[,] both were utterly dogmatic, professing, the one in the name of the Aryan race and the other in the name of the proletariat, a higher insight capable of laying down rules for art, literature, science, and religion. Both induced a frame of mind akin to religious fanaticism. In strategy[,] both were reckless in their assertions, boundless in their claims, abusive toward their opponents, prone to regard any concession on their own part as a temporary expedient and on a rival's part as a sign of weakness. The social philosophies of both agreed in regarding society as in essence a system of forces, economic or racial, between which adjustment takes place by struggle and dominance rather than by mutual understanding and concession. Both therefore regarded politics as merely an expression of power. So much in Islam resembles those two despicable ideologies. The ruling party in Islamic countries coerces the people along the road that it must follow. This is particularly easy to observe in Iran today. Islam, too, tries to obliterate the liberal distinction between areas of private judgment and of public control. We see this in all Islamic countries. Similar to Nazism and communism, Islam also turns the educational system into an apparatus of the state for the purpose of universal indoctrination. One would be justified in using the term 'brainwashing'.
In addition, Islam also lays down rules for art (no depiction of the human form is allowed, for example), for literature (all is censored), for science (nothing discovered may contradict the Qur'an or Ahadith, or the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad), and certainly for religion (no religion is accepted of man except Islam). Where Jews and Christians live in Islamic countries, they are given protection in return for a high tax known as the jiziyah, but are given dhimmi status, which means, in effect, that they are subdued and given second class status.
Islam also induces a frame of mind akin to fanaticism. That this is so is self-explanatory. Islam is also reckless in its assertions, and boundless in its claims. Example: All the world belongs to Allah; therefore it is the duty of all Muslims to Islamize it. In Islam, too, adjustment takes place by struggle and dominance. Note the Jihad.
A remarkable similarity is this: Islam is also inclined to be abusive to its opponents (they are infidels and unclean), and is prone to regard any concession on its own part as a temporary expedient and on a rival's part as a sign of weakness. And Islam, too, regards politics as an expression of power. Oh, and we shouldn't forget that Islam is profoundly anti-Semitic!
Aren't the similarities just remarkable?
What is troubling is this: Islam is closing in on us. We have so many unassimilated Muslims living in Europe, and an ever growing number living in the States, too. In fact, millions and millions of Muslims live in the West today. But the West has no strategy for dealing with the fall-out. We saw this recenty in France when their cities burnt night after night. The mayhem Muslim immigrants caused there was enough to make anyone's hair stand on end! But what has France done about it? It has unveiled a series of measures to appease the Muslim immigrants, and has ignored the fact that this was an uprising caused in no small part by the Islamic community flexing its ever strengthening muscles.
If we in the West wish to ensure the survival of our own civilization, wish to ensure that our children will be able to live as freely as we have been able to do, wish to ensure that people are free to choose their religion in the West, but just as free not to choose one, then we have a lot of thinking to do!
I would suggest that we start by asking one simple question: Should we regard Islam as a mere religion, or should we start to see it for what it truly is: A political ideology with megalomaniacal aspirations? A political ideology with a spiritual dimension which will stop at nothing until the West is no more, until the West has been brought into Dar ul Islam, or the 'House of Islam', until the West has been well and truly Islamized. To ignore this fact is tantamount to playing fast and loose with our children's future freedoms and security. In fact, it is negligent of their future well-being!

Proof positive that the jihad is active inside Korea. From StrategyPage (emphasis added):
South Korea has revealed that, although it has practically no Moslems, it has arrested 74 foreigners as terrorism suspects in the last five years. There were 19 separate investigations. Most of the suspects were Moslems from South Asia or Southeast Asia. Most were involved in collecting information on American military forces in South Korea, or planning terror attacks against non-Koreans. Some Arabs have been caught involved in criminal activities that were apparently to provide funds for terrorists. Most of the suspects were expelled and returned to their home countries, along with files on what the South Korea police had found. These men were usually arrested when they arrived in their home countries, and some of them were already known by counter-terrorism officials there.
South Korea was long believed to be free of Islamic terrorist activities. The recent revelations were intended to show that this was not the case, and that South Korea intelligence and police agencies were on top of the situation.

This is exactly how I see it:
The British Called Me a Terrorist...
by Dr. Matania Ginosar
When I joined the Israeli underground LECHI at fifteen the British, and most Israelis, called me a terrorist and tried to arrest and even kill whoever they could from our meager membership. Before I joined LECHI, an Israeli told the police where our leader Avraham Stern was hiding and British detectives murdered him while hiding in a closet. We were called "the Stern Gang," the British murdered most of our leaders, and arrested almost all the rest. One member, who later became my friend, Yehoshua Cohen, who many years later became the bodyguard of Ben Gurion, resurrected us from obscurity and build up our dedicated teams (cells) slowly, spreading them over the country. Many of our leaders escaped prison by digging a hundred and fifty feet tunnel and re-joined the fight. Many other dedicated members died, including my cell leader, Mordechai. I was lucky, I just spent a short time in jail. My brother spent nearly two years in a British detention camp in Africa with hundreds of other freedom fighters. His wife, a freedom fighter too, was arrested with him, and served time in prison.
I knew in my soul, as my friends did too, that Israel was ours and the British would have to leave, no matter how long it would take, and how many of us would die in that fight. All my education, my upbringing, my inner feelings told me that one day, all this area would, again, be our land. We expected the local Arabs and Christians to live in our Jewish State as equal citizens.
We called ourselves Lochamai Cherut Israel, (LECHI), "Fighters for the Freedom of Israel," and after years of fighting the British alone, we convinced the other two undergrounds, the Irgun and Hagana, to fight together our enemy - Britain. All three underground groups then coordinated their attacks on British installations, making effort Not To Kill even their soldiers unless it was necessary. We raised so much hell for them that they finally asked the UN to take over. And we got a sliver of a free state.
Terrorists and Freedom Fighters, The Difference:
Were we terrorists or freedom fighters? Terrorists aim to create terror in the civilian population by killing innocent civilians, men, women and children. The freedom fighters of Israel did their best to prevent killing not only Britsh civilians, but also British policemen. One of our underground members hated the British and killed a policeman without orders. We warned him, but he did it again. One of our leaders killed him under orders. We had many opportunities to kill British policemen, but we targeted only those that killed and tortured our members while prisoners.
When the Irgun underground decided to blow up the King David Hotel, a British headquarter, they warned the British half an hour earlier, but the British could not believe that the Irgun could penetrate their command center and did not evacuate it. Their arrogance caused the death of many people, including civilians.
Why am I telling this old story now? Because I am concerned about the way some Americans, and painfully some Jews, misunderstand the situation in Israel and what occurred there for the last hundred years, and now. Some still blame Israel for the agony there. Some withhold their support because they find lack of perfection in this Jewish State, which is fighting continuously for its survival. Some sit here in judgement on a state and people of which they have little understanding.
When Israel was celebrating its fiftieth anniversary, my picture was on the front page of the Sacramento Bee and my family's participation in the liberation of Israel was told inside, written by a "liberal" Jew. The writer emphasized the suffering of the Palestinians, with little understanding of the suffering of the Israelis. After all, the Israelis are the "strong" ones, therefore the "bad" ones. (Most of the media approach the Arab-Israel problem that way.) The article in the Bee was nicely done, sanitized, the way most Americans want to see this story. Most of us like to have things nicely packaged, refraining from seeing the pictures of true agony in order to continue our lives without too much involvement. Much of this shield was broken on September 11. We started to see the world in truer colors. I hope we can now see the Israeli story also as it really is, and not through the utopian eyes of unrealistic people.
I don't know if I can reach people with these words, but I want to try. Please understand that most people know very little about the utterly desolated, and unpopulated land Palestine was 100 years ago, when Jews started to come to Israel in increasing numbers. The Jews did not displace anybody; it was nearly an empty land. Americans know very little about the Arab pogroms in Israel starting in earnest in 1929 when my sister-in-law's family escaped Arab murderers in Hebron by sheer luck, but 69 others Jews did not. You may know about the MURDERS OF THOUSANDS ISRAELIS by Arab armies and Palestinians to date, but it did not touch you personally like it still does the majority of Israeli families. You heard, but you do not know how much the Israelis scarified to live on this thin sliver of a land just five percent the size of California. Yes, twenty Israel's can be placed inside California, and this current sliver is a tiny fraction of the land we expected to have as the Jewish Homeland when I was growing up there.
Please allow me to tell you a little of my own family experience in Israel so that you may start to feel a little of the agonies that the Jews of Israel went, and are going, through. The dream of my family for an Israeli State was not different from the dreams of most Jews. My father was two years old when his parents left Russia to go to Cairo, Egypt. They hoped to go to Israel, but the poverty and severe occupation of the Turkish Ottoman Empire was so hard that Jews already there left Israel to live in the British-controlled Egypt. A few years later my mother and her family left Metulla, on donkeys, in the Galil of northern Israel, because of starvation and torment under the Turks, to Cairo, after living there a hundred and fifty years.
When my father was seventeen the British Government issued the Balfour Declaration giving their support to the creation of a Jewish State on the TWO SIDES OF THE JORDAN RIVER (as it was in biblical times). After the British conquered the Middle East in 1918, and promised the Jews to help them create a state on the two sides of the Jordan, my father and many of his friends moved to Israel to build the new state. In 1922 Churchill created Trans Jordan and gave three quarters of the land promised to be Israel to the Arabs. The smaller portion, ALL THE LAND BETWEEN THE JORDAN AND THE SEA was to be a TEMPORARY British Mandate under the League of Nation DEDICATED TO THE CREATION THE STATE OF ISRAEL in that full area.
My older brother, my sister, and I were raised to continue our hope for an Israel on both sides of the Jordan, and to fight to achieve that goal. We did not accept the duplicity of the British, cutting down our country to its minimum size. You may say it was an unrealistic dream, but that was part of our soul, an integral part of who we were. And we fought for it, as many other Israelis did. The Left and the Hagana accepted the shrinking of Israel, the Right, and the Irgun and Lechi undergrounds did not. We were still hoping.
As the UN divided Israel in 1947 to an Arab and Israeli portion, our hearts were cut again. It was a severe blow to our dreams, but we wanted a Jewish State to accept the millions of wondering, stateless Jews; and eventually most Israelis, including my father, my brother, my sister, and I, accepted that sad reality. I accepted this reality despite the Arabs killing a quarter of my elementary and highschool friends during the war of 1947-48 that they imposed on us, despite them killing three of my kibbutz friends, out of forty members, in "peace time" after the 1948 war. We wanted bygones to be bygones.
You may have read about the anguish in Israel, but unless you went through this yourself, with your relatives and friends dying in one war or another, or by a suicide bomber, you are not likely to feel it like an Israeli feels it. Almost all Israelis have a friend or a relative that was injured or killed in the many attacks or wars imposed on them. And still these Israelis want peaceful coexistence, minimize civilian casualties, and do not lash out, as some other nations would have done. Millions of refugees were resettled around the world in the last fifty years, starting new lives, but not the Palestinians. They want all of the land of Israel, from the river to the sea, and clearly state that their aim is to have whatever land they can get now, so it could be used as a springboard to take over all the land from the Jordan to the Sea.
Unlike the Palestinians, we did not accept this sliver of land as a step to take over all the land. It may be that a small number still dream about that larger Israel, but most Israelis want to build the country and bring in as many Jews as possible and accepted the reality with a heavy heart.
People from around the world, and especially painful to me, are some American Jews, who tell the Israelis, "be practical, give this or give that to get peace." First, it does not work - Barak tried it. He offered 98% of the land that the Palestinians demanded plus parts of Jerusalem. But I wonder how many here are willing to be so generous and return parts of California that were taken by force from Mexico not so long ago. It is almost the same time frame that Jews came to rebuild Israel in the late nineteen century. A friend answered me: "but the Mexicans have their own country." Yes, the Palestinians have their own country too: Jordan. About 80% of Jordan's population are Palestinians! And it is just right there, the other side of the Jordan River. DESPITE THAT the Israelis accept the reality that the Palestinians should have their own land; the Israeli just want peace with their neighbors.
The Palestinians claim that the Israelis took their lands. IT IS NOT TRUE and we can, needlessly, argue about it for a long time. Some say, see how much the Palestinians suffer loosing their lands. Israelis suffered no less from the slicing of their promised lands, reducing it from the two sides of the Jordan and then cutting it to the current sliver of land.
The question is what to do with the reality of today? What can be done now so that both people can live in peace and safety?
The answer is simply that for the Palestinians to have a good life they must accept our reality, stop the terror, and give peace a chance.

Jakarta, 18 Sept. (AKI) - Humans rights organisations have denounced the alleged enslavement and exploitation of thousands of Indonesian children employed on palm plantations in neighbouring Malaysia.
"Both Indonesia and Malaysia have ratified the convention against slavery, and both have not acted, allowing children to be enslaved in a systematic manner," said Arist Merdeka Sirait, secretary general of the Indonesian National Commission on Child Protection (KNPA) in an interview with Adnkronos International (AKI).
"We now demand that Jakarta use its diplomatic channels to put an end to this scandal," said Sirait.
The Forum of Non-Permanent Teachers recently reported alleged child exploitation in the Malaysian plantation hub in Sabah to the National Commission on Child Protection.
Wahyu Susilo, representative of non-governmental organisation Migrant Care Indonesia said that the problem of child slavery is old and that the group had been trying for years to get the Indonesian government to intervene.
"We knew about the problem for many years, but putting pressure on the Indonesian government did not bring any results," said Susilo.
"Jakarta is guilty for not having done enough. But Malaysia is the main responsible partner because the abuses take place in their territory."
The KNPA also said that children are forced to work for long hours, in many cases without pay. They are also forced to live in isolated makeshift shacks without running water or electricity.
Many of the children have never been to school and have been subjected to violence and sexual abuse, said the KNPA.
Official data from the Indonesian consulate in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of the Sabah state in Malaysia, says more than 330,000 Indonesians work in at least 103 palm oil plantations in Malaysia. Almost half of them are illegal workers but it's not clear how many of them are children.

NIS NEWS BULLETIN: AMSTERDAM - MPs and local council members of Moroccan origin are routinely approached by the Moroccan secret service to defend the interests of Morocco. So says Fouad el Haji, a Labour (PvdA) council member in Rotterdam. The Lower House is shocked and has demanded an explanation from the cabinet.
El Haji said on n [sic] TV programme Pauw&Witteman that Moroccan-Dutch MPs, local politicians, entrepreneurs and police officers are enticed by the Moroccan secret service to serve the interests of Morocco. Rabat wants to bind them to it financially, culturally and politically, he stated.
El Haji suggested that within the PvdA, Socialist Party (SP) and leftwing Greens (GroenLinks), there are polticians who have taken up the offer and thus work for the secret service. He suggested one or several MPs or ex-MPs are among them. But he declined to name any names.
El Haji said he himself was also approached. "It is a pattern," he explained. "You are invited to gala parties and treated with all attentions. Before you know it, you are on a plane to Morocco. When you visit Morocco, you are even more cosseted."
'Ordinary' Moroccans are also targeted, El Haji continued. For example, they are urged to use their savings to buy a second house in Morocco. The integration process is thereby deliberately frustrated, according to El Haji.
This week, TV programme NOVA revealed that a Rotterdam policeman, Re Lemhaouli, was a spy for the Moroccan secret service. This was discovered last spring, but hushed up by the Dutch authorities, according to NOVA. Now that the case has come out in the open, the criminal investigation service has launched an investigation after all.
At the request of the Christian democrats (CDA), the House will hold an emergency debate on the question next week. The cabinet will send a letter ahead of this. If El Haji's allegations are true, this is "extremely serious," said CDA MP Sybrand van Haersma Buma yesterday.
Party for Freedom (PVV) leader Geert Wilders wants the cabinet to go into El Haij's suggestion that one or more MPs have or have had contacts with the secret service. GroenLinks leader Femke Halsema said any pressure on Moroccan Dutch is "unacceptable."
Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen said he had spoken with the Moroccan authorities about the Lemhaouli question. As a result of that conversation, the Moroccan embassy recalled two diplomats to Rabat, he revealed yesterday. ’Moroccan Secret Service Recruits Dutch MPs’ >>> | September 19, 2008

"Now they have given in"
Part 1 Part 2
Some of you might remember my past posts regarding the Libya-Switzerland issue--i.e. the son of the Libyan dictator Gaddafi was arrested and charged with assaulting two of his staff in Geneva earlier this year. There is not much more to say about it, for what I have expected to happen, has indeed come to pass--the victims dropped all the charges. Did I already mention that the brother and mother of one of the victims got arrested in Libya quite recently? A coincidence? Don't bet on it. One wonders what sort of other tender mercies might have been applied on the victims, or their families, by the Libyan goons in order to secure their 'cooperation'.
Such developments must surely gladden the hearts of those in the highest echelons of the Swiss Government. After all, we can't have something like putting the son of an Arab dictator in a highly embarrassing public trial to interfere with the ongoing Eurabia project, can we? Now with the matter disposed of, our government's top ministers, like Swiss Foreign Minister Calmy-Rey, can get back to working on projects near and dear to her dhimmi heart, like "talking to Osama Bin Laden". With politicians like her, we will surely soon become part of the Islamic Republic of Europe.
The top seven ministers of Switzerland would be well-suited for the future Caliphate of Europe. They are:
- proven liars
- desperate for attention at any cost (e.g. wearing burkhas and drinking tea with Ahmadinejad)
- cowards (hiding behind neutrality when civil courage is needed)
- hypocrites (pretending to be neutral again, but only when it's convenient)
- greedy and money-addicted (oil and gold)
- conveniently forgetful when it comes to remembering past crimes committed by members of his own staff (like the recent head of the Swiss Army). One wonders how soon they will forget about crimes committed by Muslims, e.g. 9/11 etc.
What makes me most furious is the fact that in spite of proof against them, the Swiss Government still manages to fool people. But this is another characteristic that would make them perfectly fit as leaders of an Islamic Republic.
Not everyone beyond the borders of America hates America. Read this powerful piece from Mathias Dapfner, Chief Executive of the huge German publisher Axel Springer AG. He has written a blistering attack in DIE WELT, Germany's largest daily paper, against the timid reaction of Europe in the face of the Islamic threat.
A few days ago Henry Broder wrote in Welt am Sonntag, "Europe - your family name is appeasement." It's a phrase you can't get out of your head because it's so terribly true.
Appeasement cost millions of Jews and non-Jews their lives, as England and France, allies at the time, negotiated and hesitated too long before they noticed that Hitler had to be fought, not bound to toothless agreements.
Appeasement legitimized and stabilized Communism in the Soviet Union, then East Germany, then all the rest of Eastern Europe, where for decades, inhuman suppressive, murderous governments were glorified as the ideologically correct alternative to all other possibilities.
Appeasement crippled Europe when genocide ran rampant in Kosovo, and even though we had absolute proof of ongoing mass-murder, we Europeans debated and debated and debated, and were still debating when finally the Americans had to come from halfway around the world, into Europe yet again, and do our work for us.
Rather than protecting democracy in the Middle East, European Appeasement, camouflaged behind the fuzzy word "equidistance," now countenances suicide bombings in Israel by fundamentalist Palestinians.
Appeasement generates a mentality that allows Europe to ignore nearly 500,000 victims of Saddam's torture and murder machinery and, motivated by the self-righteousness of the peace movement, has the gall to issue bad grades to George Bush... Even as it is uncovered that the loudest critics of the American action in Iraq made illicit billions, no, TENS of billions, in the corrupt U.N. Oil-for-Food program.
And now we are faced with a particularly grotesque form of appeasement. How is Germany reacting to the escalating violence by Islamic Fundamentalists in Holland and elsewhere? By suggesting that we really should have a "Muslim Holiday" in Germany?
I wish I were joking, but I am not. A substantial fraction of our (German) Government, and if the polls are to be believed, the German people, actually believe that creating an Official State "Muslim Holiday" will somehow spare us from the wrath of the fanatical Islamists. One cannot help but recall Britain's Neville Chamberlain waving the laughable treaty signed by Adolph Hitler and declaring a European "Peace in our time".
What else has to happen before the European public and its political leadership get it? There is a sort of crusade underway, an especially perfidious crusade consisting of systematic attacks by fanatic Muslims, focused on civilians, directed against our free, open Western societies, and intent upon Western Civilization's utter destruction.
It is a conflict that will most likely last longer than any of the great military conflicts of the last century - a conflict conducted by an enemy that cannot be tamed by "tolerance" and "accommodation" but is actually spurred on by such gestures, which have proven to be, and will always be taken by the Islamists for signs of weakness.
Only two recent American Presidents had the courage needed for Anti-appeasement: Reagan and Bush. His American critics may quibble over the details, but we Europeans know the truth. We saw it first hand: Ronald Reagan ended the Cold War, freeing half of the German people from nearly 50 years of terror and virtual slavery. And Bush, supported only by the Social Democrat Blair, acting on moral conviction, recognized the danger in the Islamic War against Democracy. His place in history will have to be evaluated after a number of years have passed.
In the meantime, Europe sits back with charismatic self-confidence in the multicultural corner, instead of defending liberal society's values and being an attractive center of power on the same playing field as the true great powers, America and China.
On the contrary - we Europeans present ourselves, in contrast to those "arrogant Americans", as the World Champions of "tolerance", which even (Germany's Interior Minister) Otto Schily justifiably criticizes. Why? Because we're so moral? I fear it's more because we're so materialistic, so devoid of a moral compass.
For his policies, Bush risks the fall of the dollar, huge amounts of additional national debt, and a massive and persistent burden on the American economy - because unlike almost all of Europe, Bush realizes what is at stake - literally everything.
While we criticize the "capitalistic robber barons" of America because they seem too sure of their priorities, we timidly defend our Social Welfare systems. Stay out of it! It could get expensive! We'd rather discuss reducing our 35-hour workweek or our dental coverage, or our 4 weeks of paid vacation... Or listen to TV pastors preach about the need to "reach out to terrorists. To understand and forgive".
These days, Europe reminds me of an old woman who, with shaking hands, frantically hides her last pieces of jewelry when she notices a robber breaking into a neighbor's house.
Appeasement? Europe, thy name is Cowardice - God Bless America!

36 martyrs and counting! Now that is a Jihad lovefest. Looks live the love in will go much higher! The religion of peace! What would we do without it?!
Marriot is a notorious suckup company with Islam and the elites in Muslim countries. Nothing new there, it's all too common. But these big elite hotels are also ownership joint ventures or franchises with Muslim elites rolling in the cash as well. I say, leave them alone, separate, and let them kill, kill, kill each other.
What would we do without them here in the West?

Over at my YouTube channel, I receive a fair number of comments and emails from both supporters of the counterjihad, as well as Muslims. The usual treatment I get from the Muslims is either shrieking death threats or a softer "Islam is just misunderstood" line.
This message which I got today is more in line with the latter than the former. Here it is, a message from a YouTube user named "taher1alkaroury", which I have reproduced here exactly as I got it:
Date: Sep 18, 2008
how are you, you brother or if u dont like me calling brother then its fine
i saw ur video and yeah its kinda touch me but yeah am muslim and am nots with any one who kills or none that am with peace and i wanna tell you am proud to be muslim

but please read the book of Quran and tell me what u think about it
by the way my name is Tahir and write back please.
I know what you must be thinking right now...this Tahir character is quite the, ahem, 'gifted writer' isn't he?
Well, such an inspired message deserves a response, so I replied thusly:
You asked me to respond, so I shall.
First, the email you wrote to me was difficult to read, if not completely incoherent, consisting of little more than long run-on sentences largely devoid of logic. At a minimum, I suggest you start using more periods (full stops) in your mails. It would be doing a vast favour to anyone who happens to receive one of your missives in the future.
Secondly, I have indeed read the Koran and it too, is a long, incoherent, rambling tome that threatens hellfire et al on the kufr, or anyone else that doesn't go along with the "Mo is The One" programme. Perhaps this is the source of your writing style (I admittedly use the word 'style' loosely in this context).
Third, since you profess to be a follower of Mohammedanism, you have my profound sympathies. I hope that one day you might somehow wake up from the nightmare that your life must certainly resemble--but I won't hold my breath waiting for it.
In the meantime, I'll keep spreading the word about your Arabian Death Cult, to any and all comers.
Thanks for writing and have a nice infidel day.
Shalom and cordially,

South of here in Indonesia, the Jihad and Arabization marches on.
Let me take a moment to explain what 'Arabization' means. It refers to what is now happening in Java; the appearance of more and more fluffy beards, the long dresses and burqas, the popularity of anti Semitism, raging hatred towards the West and Israel and the US in particular, the burqa-wearing babies, ever-growing intolerance, and greater violence towards the few unfortunate kufr still in the vicinity. It’s the creeping Sharia, Islamization, and destruction of ancient cultures, captured in one word that says it all--Arabization.
In the Javanese district of Atjeh, the first district in Indonesia to succumb to Sharia, Islamic law has been well established by the Taliban-style local government. Religious police, whippings, canings and (if things go well) cutting off hands and all the rest of that savage Islamic repertoire is commonplace. The plague has already reached Tangerang, on the outskirts of Jakarta, which now enforces a curfew for all females, a ban on lipstick, and the compulsory wearing of the burqa. It all indicates growing Indonesian submission to Arabization.
While Java, the center of the country, continues its long spiralling decline towards pure Islamic backwardness and barbarism, just to the east of overcrowded Java lies Bali. Bali, the home of an ancient, exotic and decidedly un-Islamic culture, continues to attract well-heeled foreign (i.e. kufr) tourists, as well as foreign investors. This continues the despite the infamous self-detonation of Muslim jihadists (who all hailed from East Java) in 2002 and 2005 that specifically targeted kufr tourists in places like restaurants and nightclubs.
So now, the Jihadists of Java are using a legal means of Jihad to accomplish what their bombs could not--the Islamization, Arabization and submission of Bali. That legal means is formally known as the "Anti-Porn Bill". The bill, now under deliberation by Muslim lawmakers in Indonesia's parliament, could become the law of the land within mere weeks.
Now, when Muslims refer to 'porn', they do not mean what westerners mean. To them, it means "anything done or displayed by a woman that might conceivably tend to arouse erotic feelings in a man". In other words, wearing a low-cut blouse, showing ankles in public, or batting her eyelashes at a man could turn a woman, in Muslim eyes, into a porn star.
Indonesia's Anti-Porn Bill, if passed, would mandate prison terms and fines for kissing in public, exposure of a woman’s “sensual” body parts (for a Muslim, that can even be a fingernail) and the display of “erotic” artwork.
The Balinese are rightfully outraged at this legal Jihad, heavily pushed by Islamist parties in Java, which amounts to nothing more than a Muslim effort to destroy their millenia-old culture. And they would be right. The embattled Balinese are protesting as best they can, but what chance do they honestly have of preserving their culture under government-sponsored Islamic onslaught?
When the Muslims are in charge, this is the inevitable result--democratic means are used to destroy democracy itself. In a very real sense, Bali's future is everyone's future.

Even the most diehard detractors of President Bush must agree that Bush has never threatened to throw his political opponents (Pelosi, Reid, and the rest of the Democratic party establishment) into a dungeon. If Bush was foolhardly enough to do such a barbarous act, he'd face impeachment, not to mention an uprising within his own party.
Alas, Malaysia is not the US. Words from Malaysia's PM (AKA 'Pak Lah') seem to be laying the groundwork to throw the ruling party's nemesis, Anwar, into the hoosegow:
PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is a threat to national security and the economy due to his lies, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said.
The key words here in this chilling threat are "threat to national security." The Internal Security Act is designed to let the government imprison anyone deemed this kind of 'threat'. No proof need be offered or laid before any judge or court; it only has to be asserted, and the PM has now done precisely this.
It appears that 'Pak Lah' is unhappy with the progress of the Sodomy II case against Anwar, who is the defacto leader of the politcal opposition. Additional measures are needed quickly to permanently stop Anwar from unseating BN from its half-century long position of power. With fascist powers like ISA at one's disposal, a dictatorial regime never need worry about losing elections or political opponents.
Anwar will be joining his fellow Malaysians RPK (a blogger), Teresa Kok (another Member of Parliament), the HINDRAF 5, and countless others now languishing in indefinite detention in Malaysia's gulags. As usual, Muslims tend to be the victims of the fascist impulses of other Muslims. And we are seeing this play out in Malaysia again and again.

A report from RPK's wife regarding RPK's continued imprisonment in Malaysia:
My two girls and I managed to see RPK at 11:00am this morning (16 September) at the Bukit Aman Police HQ.
He has been sleeping on a wooden platform without any pillow or bedding. He looked drawn and drained but still alert.
I started informed him that the support he has at home and abroad is keeping us strong and that should be enough for him too to continue to be strong. I also told him that the Pakatan Raykat has the numbers to form the next government and it is just a matter of time that we would soon get him out.
He has lost weight and his sugar level has dived from 8 to 4. I urged him to eat and to drink a lot of water. In fact we brought him his favorites: a 6-pack coke, chocolates, fresh plums, shepherd’s pie and caramel custard. Raja Petra asked us to take them back. He said that those interrogating him would try to use these food items as inducements to get him to co-operate. RPK said he did not want to be beholden to them. They will use favours they grudgingly grant and use these as trade offs.
He complained that the food supplied is such that our two cats will not even eat. But I encouraged him that despite that, he has to eat. He replied that he has no appetite and that most of the time he is tired as they are interrogating him incessantly. They come to his cell (8X8 concrete box without windows) and harass him at all hours of the day and night taking hourly turns having a video camera at all times. One time they brought a prayer mat and the Koran to his cell and just said so you don’t want this and took it away recording all this.
Sometimes they just come to the cell every half hourly to peep into his cell with the loud clicking of the peep hole keeping him awake. They are interrogating him on all his articles and at this stage it is on his articles on Islam. They said he has no right to write about Islam because we (his family) don’t live like Muslims and they were not sure whether we prayed or not as how all good Muslims should.During our visit a video camera was trained on us all the time that I was with RPK. There were always two officers in the room with us for the whole duration.
For any country that accepts Muslims in large numbers, this is the sort of government that you will have in store. A government that suppresses dissent, treats peaceful men like criminals and terrorists, and is hostile to freedom, tolerance, and human rights.
And remember, Malaysia is merely among the 'least worst' of the Muslim states.

Mahathir Mohamed--AKA Dr. 'Moonbat'--is the man who has, for better or worse, been the architect of modern-day Malaysia, and the political party that rules it--UMNO. This man ruled Malaysia in his iron grip for 22 years, and was responsible for, among other things:
-demonising the west, with Israel, Jews and the US in particular
-strengthening the power of Shariah courts
-muzzling a free press and restricting free speech in general
-weakening the British colonial legacy of civil law
-freely using ISA to jail dissidents and other popular figures opposed to him
-imprisoning his own deputy PM on corruption and sodomy charges
-entrenching the ethos of money politics and cronyism
I could go on, but for the purposes of brevity, I've kept the list short.
Dr. Moonbat, now 82, now only speaks about one thing publically--the notion of racial identity. This old man only knows one trick, and that's the race card--how childish. Mahathir as usual has it 180 degrees wrong. Instead of constantly harping on the dubious concept of racial identity, we should be getting away from the whole nonsense, and focus instead on what we have in common as humans.
"You can't teach an old dog new tricks." Mahathir seems to prove the adage all too true.

By ELIZABETH SAMSON
FROM TODAY'S WALL STREET JOURNAL EUROPE
September 10, 2008
There are strange happenings in the world of international jurisprudence that do not bode well for the future of free speech. In an unprecedented case, a Jordanian court is prosecuting 12 Europeans in an extraterritorial attempt to silence the debate on radical Islam.
The prosecutor general in Amman charged the 12 with blasphemy, demeaning Islam and Muslim feelings, and slandering and insulting the prophet Muhammad in violation of the Jordanian Penal Code. The charges are especially unusual because the alleged violations were not committed on Jordanian soil.
Among the defendants is the Danish cartoonist whose alleged crime was to draw in 2005 one of the Muhammad illustrations that instigators then used to spark Muslim riots around the world. His co-defendants include 10 editors of Danish newspapers that published the images. The 12th accused man is Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders, who supposedly broke Jordanian law by releasing on the Web his recent film, "Fitna," which tries to examine how the Quran inspires Islamic terrorism.
Jordan's attempt at criminalizing free speech beyond its own borders wouldn't be so serious if it were an isolated case. Unfortunately, it is part of a larger campaign to use the law and international forums to intimidate critics of militant Islam. For instance, in December the United
Nations General Assembly passed the Resolution on Combating Defamation of Religions; the only religion mentioned by name was Islam. While such resolutions aren't legally binding, national governments sometimes cite them as justification for legislation or other actions.
More worrying, the U.N. Human Rights Council in June said it would refrain from condemning human-rights abuses related to "a particular religion." The ban applies to all religions, but it was prompted by Muslim countries that complained about linking Islamic law, Shariah, to such outrages as female genital mutilation and death by stoning for adulterers. This kind of self-censorship could prove dangerous for people suffering abuse, and it follows the council's March decision to have its expert on free speech investigate individuals and the media for negative comments about Islam.
Given this trend, it's worth taking a closer look at the Jordanian case. The prosecutor is relying on a 2006 amendment to the Jordanian Justice Act that casts a worryingly wide net for such prosecution. Passed in response to the Danish cartoons incident, the law allows the prosecution of individuals whose actions affect the Jordanian people by "electronic means," such as the Internet. The 2006 amendment, in theory, means anyone who publishes on the Internet could be subject to prosecution in Jordan. If the case against the 12 defendants is allowed to go forward, they will be the first but probably not the last Westerners to be hit by Jordan's law.
Amman has already requested that Interpol apprehend Mr. Wilders and the Danes and bring them to stand before its court for an act that is not a crime in their home countries. To the contrary. Dutch prosecutors said in July that although some of Mr. Wilders's statements may be offensive, they are protected under Dutch free-speech legislation. Likewise, Danish law protects the rights of the Danish cartoonists and newspapers to express their views.
Neither Denmark nor the Netherlands will turn over its citizens to Interpol, as the premise of Jordan's extradition request is an affront to the very principles that define democracies. It is thus unlikely that any Western country would do so, either. But there is no guarantee for the
defendants' protection if they travel to countries that are more sympathetic to the Jordanian court.
Unless democratic countries stand up to this challenge to free speech, other nations may be emboldened to follow the Jordanian example. Kangaroo courts across the globe will be ready to charge free people with obscure violations of other societies' norms and customs, and send Interpol to bring them to stand trial in frivolous litigation.
A new form of forum shopping would soon take root. Activists would be able to choose countries whose laws and policies are informed by their religious values to prosecute critical voices in other countries. The case before the Jordanian court is not just about Mr. Wilders and the Danes. It is about the subjugation of Western standards of free speech to fear and coercion by foreign courts.

The government of Muslim-ruled Malaysia has arrested and detained Malaysia's top blogger, writer and political activist Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK), founder of the hugely popular (and until recently blocked) anti-government website Malaysia Today. RPK's arrest and detainment is under Malaysia's barbarous ISA law (Internal Security Act), which allows for anyone to be detained indefinitely without appeal and without charge, trial, or legal representation.
The Malaysian authorities, who are all from Malaysia's Muslim ruling party (UMNO), are justifying their actions due to a comment of mine that RPK allowed to be posted at one of his articles, which you can read here. This comment of mine is alleged to be insulting to the precious prophet of the Mohammadens, a man dead for 14 centuries. My comment may be insulting, but I am I being untruthful? I invite our readers to read it for themselves and draw their own conclusions.
It is worth reminding all again that Islam is the only major world religion that feels compelled to silence any criticism of their 'faith' through coercion, threats and the use of force. If Islam really is the 'perfect deen' (perfect religion) and Allah is really merciful and good, why are Muslim governments like Malaysia's almost invariably the least civilized, most oppressive, and most regressive on the planet? Many Muslims, including the incarcerated RPK himself, would argue that ISA is 'unIslamic'. The facts suggest otherwise.
I can only hope that somehow, enough pressure is somehow brought to bear on the Malaysian government to have RPK set free. RPK is not a terrorist, but a manifestly good man who tells the truth and struggles for freedom in his nation, at great personal risk. He hardly deserves the barbaric treatment he is now receiving at the hands of his coreligionists.

Recently I unearthed a fascinating bit of fiction on the web. It's a novel, entitled "Patient Evil", that is about the world of the near future and how Islam intends to remake it--and it's not pretty, to say the least. Most of the book is available now for free download (PDF format) here. Highly recommended!

Last year in Malaysia, a group of Malaysians of Indian descent formed the Hindu Rights Action Force, generally known as HINDRAF. The purposes of the group was mainly threefold: to highlight the atrocious poverty that many Indian-Malaysians cope with on a daily basis, press the Muslim-controlled government for greater assistance, and seek redress for official and unofficial bigotry and bias from the Muslim majority.
HINDRAF's campaign climaxed in Kuala Lumpur (KL) late last year when the organization staged a massive protest of tens of thousands in central KL. Of course the Muslim ruling party UMNO, having as usual denied the kuffar request to have the demonstration, took a dim view of the proceedings. The riot police (who as it happens are mostly Muslim) got nasty in very short order and proceeded to use tear gas and water cannon against the marchers, in copious amounts. Despite the overwhelming force, the cops were running around KL for the better part of a day, chasing down groups of protestors. No one was killed, but hundreds were arrested.
A few days after the streets of KL were cleared and the tear gas finally disappated, the UMNO government moved in and took, as they might say, decisive action. The five leaders of HINDRAF, hereafter known as the HINDRAF Five, were arrested and detained on 13 Dec 2007.
For the past 10 months, these five men, having been charged with nothing, denied a chance to defend themselves in open court, have languished in a Malaysian gulag. And just today, a Malaysian court threw out another attempt to free them, because the Five are deemed a 'threat to national security'. Of course, the authorities have no need to prove this--it merely needs to be asserted. So, in chains the HINDRAF Five shall remain.
Bear in mind, these men are not jihadists locked up in America's 'Gitmo'. The HINDRAF Five are not terrorists, and have not tried to carry out mass murder, and certainly do not advocate violence. They are peaceful men, men with families, who in essence rejected the dhimmi caste the Muslims have put them in. They made the mistake, in Muslim eyes, of resisting. They are political prisoners, and they suffer inhumane conditions in silence, whilst their lawyers, familes and friends wage a futile battle on their behalf against the stacked deck known as the "Malaysian justice system".
Where are the human rights activists, the so-called 'peace activitists' who so quickly stand up to defend the rights of the terrorists in Gitmo or Gaza? Where is the outrage?

Recently emailed to me from a concerned American. Please read and heed.
Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign and PLEASE pass this message immediately to everyone you know. We have less than one week and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America.
On Thursday, September 11th, 2008, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this seventh anniversary of one our country's worst tragedies. We do this to honor those who were killed in the horrible mass murders in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania. We honor their families, friends, loved ones who continue to endure the pain to this day, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against Islamic terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds
So, what we need you to do is fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Wear a flag pin on your clothes, show the flag on your car, and display a flag at your home. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.
Thank you for your participation and please don’t forget to pass the word. God bless you and God Bless America!

PAKISTAN TIMES: LONDON (UK): The British Prime Minister Gordon Brown in his Ramazan message has spoken of the huge contribution the Muslim community is making to Britain’s success in terms of its prosperity, society and culture.
“Ramadan teaches patience and humility, and reminds us of our shared moral universe; our obligation to others,” he said.
Emphasising the importance of the holy month, Brown said the message of empathy for the less fortunate is reflected in Ramazan by the daily fast.
“Ramadan’s message of compassion and social justice spreads beyond Muslim communities; it speaks of shared values that unite us all,” he added.
Recalling the hadith of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), he said it emphasised the duty of care we owe one another and this special month is also the occasion to celebrate the diversity that contributes to Britain ‘s strength.
The Prime Minister pointed out Ramazan is an opportune time to consider the contribution of Islam not just to Britain , but to the world as the Islamic art, science, and philosophy have enriched our lives over many centuries.
He said Ramazan is also a time to recall the holy Prophet’s message that “the best richness is the richness of the soul,” while stressing to look forward to continuing positive engagement with British Muslim communities across the UK. ALTMUSLIM.COM: Back in April of this year, I received a phone call from University of Texas, Austin professor Denise Spellberg, an Islamic Studies expert in whose class I have guest lectured the past two years. She brought to my attention a book she had been sent to review entitled Jewel of Medina, a book she found offensive for its portrayal of Aisha, the youngest wife of the Prophet Muhammad. In a turn from most literary depictions of Aisha, this one was heavily fictionalized, with a dramatic story arc that, to Spellberg, represented a racy novel rather than an accurate depiction of her life. (Spellberg should know - her own scholarly work on Aisha is known as one of the most authoritative books on the subject.)
As I had not heard anything of the book, I sent an e-mail inquiry to a private listserv for graduate students in Islamic studies, describing the phone call I just received and asked if anyone could tell me more about it. After hearing no response for three weeks, I got an email out of the blue from the author of that book, Sherry Jones, who asked if we were interested in writing an advance review. What I didn't know at the time was that someone on the Islamic studies list passed my e-mail out of the listserv, where it ended up on the website of Husaini Youths, an overseas forum catering to young Shia Muslims. There, some offended readers voiced concern at the as-yet unpublished book, suggesting a seven point plan for pressuring Random House, the book's publisher, to cancel publication.
But they needn't have bothered. In June, Wall Street Journal reporter Asra Nomani told me she was writing an article on the reaction to the book, identifying me through her research on the issue and asking me to comment. It was then that I learned that Random House had indeed withdrawn the imminent publication of the book (set for August 12 of this year), despite having paid Jones a reported $100,000 advance. Cited in Random House's cancellation was a reference to unnamed "Islamic scholars" who advised them that the book could provoke extremist Muslims. And in some corners, I was identified as the catalyst for this chain of events.
The response to the story was explosive, with people around the world decrying perceived Muslim threats to the author and publisher - except for the fact that no Muslims were involved in the actual censorship. As the story played out, it has been revealed that there had been no violence or even threat of violence in response to the book. Hopefully, this means Muslims have learned a valuable lesson from the response to The Satanic Verses (which made Salman Rushdie a celebrity) and the Danish cartoon controversy (which did untold PR damage to Muslims worldwide). Because censoring the book - even self-censoring - was something that I abhorred, I wrote a response here supporting free speech in this case, which has incidentally been republished in Lebanon, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. Yet, the entrenched notion that Muslims are antithetical to free speech continues.
And then there's Sherry Jones herself. Jones spoke out when asked about the issue, contesting the description given of her book as "pornography." But as she felt that she was being used as a wedge between Muslims and those that dislike them, she began to withdraw from commenting further. While acknowledging her book would be controversial, she maintained that she wrote the book not just with respect, but with admiration for Aisha, and felt her interpretation and dramatization of her life would accentuate her known qualities, qualities which drew her to the subject matter after 9/11.
Sherry's insistence that she intended a respectful treatment of the subject matter, in addition to her reaching out to us before the controversy grew, made us wonder - is there more to this story than some would have us believe? Below, Sherry Jones speaks to us in detail about what her book represented, how she and I have weathered the storm, and about the sequel that she's already written. ”I Did All This in the Service of a Truth” >>> By Shahed Amanullah | September 4, 2008

My fellow residents of the Free World:
Among the various traditional Ramadan activities of physically attacking non-Mohammedans, vandalizing churches and synagogues and yelling public threats of violence against any critic of Islam, a new one will appear. This year, Islamists will celebrate the capitulation of Tyson Foods Inc. to their demands for a prayer room for its Mohammedan employees plus a paid day off work to mark the end of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr.

Wouldn't you know it...the UMNO tyrant that runs the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is going to keep the treacherous website Malaysia Today blocked until further notice. The website has been theoretically blocked by government order since 26 August; however within a matter of hours, a number of mirror sites popped up that quickly nullified the Malaysian government's hamhanded attempt at Internet censorship.
Malaysian newspaper Utusan Malaysia reported (via the Star) on August 29th that MCMC had banned Malaysia Today because the website had insulted the (alleged) Prophet Muhammad. MCMC thug-in-chief Mohamed Shahril Mohamed Tarmizi is reported to have said that the ban against Malaysia Today was because an article in the website had tried to draw parallels of the "holy" prophet to Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.
Well, that's interesting, because on August 26th at 11:02:44, yours truly made a comment on Malaysia Today that reads, in part:
If God's greatest prophet is free to take part in murder, robbery, genocide, and slave-trading, can we really point a finger at people like Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein and say that they are evil? They killed many innocents, but so did Mohammad. Saddam tortured countless people, but so did Mohammad. In fact, one could make a case that Osama bin Laden is morally superior to Mohammad, for, while bin Laden killed thousands of people, he didn't sell their wives and children into slavery, or have sex with a little girl, or marry more than a dozen women.
Do I insult Mohammed the 'prophet'? Absolutely. Do I compare the pedophile to his bloody-minded co-religionists Saddam and Osama? Check. So, is it all just a coincidence?
I wonder if the thug-in-charge at MCMC is personally peeved at your humble correspondent for my remarks. I can't help but wonder. But seriously, I'm a nobody; who the hell is going to listen to me? Is it a mere coincidence, or did I just annoy some tyrannical corrupt minister of a third world nation? Say it aint so!
I have a message to Mr. Mohammed at MCMC and all the other like-minded slaves of Allah who would just as soon have me silenced--I won't be silent. I will not submit, not to you, your prophet or to your vengeful 'god'. And you can kiss my kafir @$$!

Non Malaysians don't know that the Democratic Action Party, or DAP, is a primarily non Muslim, majority Chinese (or Malaysians of Chinese ancestry) political party. The party did very well in the general election earlier this year, but is still for the moment in the opposition. The leader of DAP is one Lim Guan Eng (in photo). He's also the chief minister of the Malaysian state of Penang, a major economic engine and industrial center for the country.
Lim Guan Eng recently decided to spout some words of wisdom about the religion that rules the roost in his country. Here's part of what he had to say:
Islam is a universal way of life and does not discriminate against race...
Here, Mr. Lim is plainly showing his vast ignorance of Islam. Or, at best he's just being an obedient dhimmi and telling his Muslim overlords what they want to here. Regardless, Mr. Lim is imparting some very misleading information about Islam and a correction is in order.
Islam may not discriminate against race per se, but as a belief system, it most definitely discriminates between the Believers (Muslims) and the Kuffar (non Muslims). Just ask the Coptic Christians of Egypt, the Bahai of Iran, Christians in Sudan, or the Hindus in Pakistan about how much Islam and its followers discriminate against them on a daily basis. All of those aforementioned groups, and virtually all non Muslims who live under Muslim rule suffer from constant harassment and/or vicious persecution. Under Islamic law, it's all perfectly legal. Muslims will not hestitate to say to any and all that such treatment of Kuffar is merely part of the teachings of their religion. Has anyone pointed any of this out to you, Dr. Lim? Didn't think so.
I invite Mr. Lim and our readers to read more on the plight of non Muslims in Muslim-ruled lands here. It would also behoove Mr. Lim and his DAP brethren to read up on the Islamic concept of dhimmitude and the Pact of Umar.

I don't know how Libya's thug-in-chief Muammar Gaddafi managed it, but he did.
Libya: Italy to Pay U.S. $5 Billion for Colonialism31 August 2008
Italy yesterday agreed to pay Libya US$5 billion as compensation for its 30-year occupation of the country, which ended in 1943.
In return for getting this mountain of money, Libya has offered a vaguely-worded promise to crackdown on illegal immigrants. In other words, Libya has to do nothing in return. Aint life grand for the Muslims? Takbir!
"It is a material and emotional recognition of the mistakes that our country has done to yours during the colonial era," Berlusconi told reporters at the airport on his arrival. "This agreement opens the path to further cooperation."
In other words, additional future payments to the Muslims are almost certainly in the offing. Never mind the fact that almost all of the Italians that were involved in the aforementioned crime of 'colonialism' are dead. The Turks used to own Libya as a colony also. Will Turkey now be expected to cough up a crapload of cash now?
Italy is spinning this as a "we're sorry about that colonialism thing" that ended over 60 years ago, but Libya's Muslims are going to most definitely have a rather different take on it. They're going to regard it as tribute from the heathen kuffar to the Ummah. And they would be right on that score--it's tribute, and a whole lot of it.
It also sets a nasty and expensive precedent for the dhimmified Yurps. Can Algeria and Syria now bill their former colonial power France? Can Egypt now demand their tribute from their former colonial masters, the British? If it's good enough for Libya, why not for all the rest?
