America: A Dream

Inspired by videos about Guantanamo Bay (GITMO), US Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, US flag and Americans all over the world who have sacrificed their comfort, their homes, their money, their freedoms and above all, their lives to make this world a better place.

If I could do it, I'd allow you and many other thousands like you, who love the real America from afar, to come here, and I would gladly share with you what is best here. Instead, our government relaxes the rules to admit enemies of the dream, while making it difficult to impossible for people like you to enter. Who ever remembers to read what is inscribed at the base of the Statue of Liberty?

"Not like the barren giant of Greek fame, with conquering limbs astride from land to land; here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand a mighty woman with a torch, whose flame is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command the air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp! cries she with silent lips. Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

Brother, if you ever make it here, another door is open to you, and that is a small one, but it's mine. Whatever you do, may Christ continue to guide and protect you and bring you to victory. Always say Yes when He calls your name, and follow Him.
